Vehicle Description
up for auction is a 1990 olds quad 442. the car only has 126,000 actual miles. car was parked for 7 years due to a broken glass sunroof, was stored in a garage. car has new brakes, new exhaust from cat back. excellent interior. car gets 35 mpg. was driving it and it developed a noise in the top of the motor at the cam area. believe it is a follower or broken tappet. not sure haven't removed the cam covers to look. it is not in the bottom end as in a rod bearing. car holds 60 lbs of oil pressure when running. needs a power steering belt it broke from being old. transmission shifts great, no problems there, clutch is good, could use tires. have the other matching wheel in the trunk. blew a tire while driving it. stereo plays good, cruise works, a/c needs charged. it has the high output quad 4 engine in it. car has lots of power i believe it is 180 hp. not the w41 engine. car has the original paint, has damage on the drivers side fender but easily fixed. has paint chips, from being 18 yrs old. the underside of the car is like new, no rot whatsoever. the other owner had taped plastic over the sunroof thus the reason the paint is chipped on the roof area. this would make someone a really good car, since there was only around 3300 built in 90. i would figure on towing the car so as to not do any damage to the engine. lots of performance parts for this engine is available. this car is all original not been tampered with, rare as not many were made.the interior is in excellent condition no rips in the seats, dash is not cracked. car was bought and titled in 2001 with 90,622 miles on it, so you can see it hasn't been driven much since purchased. has power windows, but passenger one doesn't go down. not sure if it's the switch or motor never checked it out. i put a piece of lexan in where the sunroof is, the motor still works just need a glass. would have to find one from another olds. this does not leak at all. i may have missed some things, but feel free to email me with any questions. buyer to pay all fees in accordance with whatever state it is going to be titled in. buyer responsible for towing, a 300 dollar deposit due within 3 days of close of auction.balance to be paid by certified check, postal money order or cash. can keep the car for a small amount of time at no charge till arrangements are made for removal. thanks
