1983 Olds 4.3L diesel with automatic. Would make good crew car. Body is straight, paint faded. Inside need cleaned up, but not horrible aside from headliner cloth is missing. Drivers window needs help when rolling up, just hold it back in it's channel so it doesn't roll forward. Has crank window regultors. Only weird damage is that last owner removed trunk lid and tried to pull something by the trunk hinges. Hinges did not make it. Could be replaced from a different car, but I was going to pin the front of it down. Left it up to high bidder. Latch holds fine, but would hate to have it fly off. Motor runs good, trans works fine. Seal behind power steering pump pulley leaks pretty bad. Power steering works when full, but is empty next time I jump in. Valve cover gaskets need replaced. I'd recommend fixing the leaks before any distance trips. Front tires are nice, rear 2 aren't that good. Will need batteries. One is shot that came with the car, the other is from my pickup where it went back to. Guy I got it from said he put a new filter on and replaced the starter. Odometer reads 69,000 but am assuming 169,000. Seats and pedals look too good to be 269,000. Car sat for a couple years before I got it not too long ago. Thought the cooking oil thing would be the way to go. I got it running and realized I don't know the first thing about diesels. Runs great and everything, but I'm not a diesel guy by any means. I only put 10 miles or so on it. I hope someone could put it to good use, I have too many vehicles and need to get rid of a few. Clean title. Feel free to ask questions, $1 per mile to deliver. Thanks for looking and please check my other auctions. On Oct-16-08 at 11:41:06 PDT, seller added the following information: I was mistaken, not sure if it's good or bad, but it has aluminum heads. Thanks and sorry for the mixup.
