Vehicle Description
Rare 1961 1/2 Oldsmobile F85 Cutlass V8 2dr Sport hardtop. Not original color. Original color was red exterior and tan interior. Good Project car or Parts Car. Actually Great Parts Car!!! This is a great little car.
OK here it goes. I will do my best with my lack of knowledge of cars. I was in over my head when I bought this car. Notice in the pic the color of the floor boards is not rust it is the color of the original primer paint except on the driver's side the bronwish color. I am including black floor board primer paint. I also have four headlights that are not shown in the pics.
Engine Runs: rare aluminum 215ci V8 4bbrl I drove this car as soon as I bought it about 10miles then started my restoration quest. The engine did smoke. I found out as many guys do that I do not know enough about cars to restore this one so I am selling it. Brakes seemed tight and the steering was good This car is striped inside because I had started to work on it. All front parts were removed and put in storage for protection but I have it all with hardware. I have all parts for inside including front bucket seats and back bench. Needs new upholstery. For the year not a lot of rust but there is some. Body looks good with a one spot on the roof that is primer. The front and rear bumper need rechroming. As you can see by the missing floor panels in the driver and passenger side it needs to be patched up. Trunk looks good. There is no carpet or headliner but not hard to find I tore both out. I have most parts for this car that are hard to find and the easy ones to find are the ones that need replacing. All the electronics did work on this car until I got a hold of it (I told you). Battery needs to be replaced. It does start but with a jump. You can drive this car up on a trailer but it does need to be trailered. I have more pics upon request of the interior and exterior parts. Tires look brand new but hubs have surface rust. I believe the original hubs are in the trunk. There is an aftermarket exhaust on this car that I have the paper work for. I have a lot of paper work for this car including a parts list and the original ad.
This car has a lot of hard to find good parts on it. Most need shinning and polishing. Missing a few lenses and some that have are cracked. All windows and glass are in good shape. The front wind shield and back window does leak because of the broken window seal. I think I have spoke to everything I can but I am sure there is something I left out. Once again this is a Project or Parts Car but the price is set accordingly. If you have any questions please email me. I will give you my cell number if you email. I do not mind showing the car if you are in the area especially since I can not answer a lot of the performance questions with my lack of knowledge. This car is worth it for the parts alone.
