Vehicle Description
This is a very nice car that you could drive with confidence. It is correct and unmolested. I have owned this great looking 1956 Oldsmobile 2 door hardtop for many years. There is no guarantee as to the correct mileage. It is equipped with the Rocket 88 engine with duel exhausts and automatic transmission. It is one of the original muscle cars. The car starts with the first turn of the key and the rumble of its duel exhausts sounds sooo great!
I love the two tone black and white color scheme inside and out. I love the original rocket space décor, the rocket hood ornament with the slipstreams trailing out across the hood, the stars on the horn ring, the planets on the front and rear décor and I love the spinner hubcaps with little renditions of the planet Jupiter.
The interior is beautiful with its fresh black and white color scheme and almost new appearance. The 56 Oldsmobile dash is one of the most beautiful ever made. It has tons of chrome duel ashtrays, magnificent gauges and clock. All gauges work except the clock. It has the original radio (not working). All of the glass is good. It has great seat belts. The body has no dents and no visible rust. Although the brakes work great the power brake booster should be rebuilt. All of the lights are working. All of the window frames have been chrome plated except two. The trunk is beautifully carpeted and has the spare tire and what looks like the original Jack. The windshield wipers are still the old vacuum type that do not work except when it wants to. The car shines up beautifully for cruising. You will look really good in it! This is fun car and is one of the true early muscle cars - a true Rocket 88!
