Here are the specs
All original drivetrain: 324 Rocket engine that purrs! 3 speed Hydramatic (totally rebuilt not many miles back) Original style dual mufflers and exhaust. Dont be deceived by the Rodder looks, this thing runs down the highway quiet as a mouse!
Vintage style interior that still looks great. The car retains it's original rubber floor matting that shows well even with some obvious wear. This car has never had carpet in it!All of the interior paint including the dash, steering column, window frames etc. is Factory original!Check the pics
The paint is Lime Firemist Green Metallic with Pepper Green Metallic nose and subtle flames. The back and deck are Raven Gloss Black
Classic Cragar SS chrome mag wheels with brand new 3" wide whitewalls. Side stainless all polished and in very good condition with all new clips.
All glass is original except driver door which is brand new. The doors have new window channels, felts,whisker strips and rubber weather stripping/ seals. All windows roll up and down easily. The windshield has a crack a little left of center coming upward from the bottom. It's been that way since we've owned the car, and to us just adds character. Brand new rear leaf springs brand new stabilizer bar bolts and bushings New shocks all around (not yet installed but included) New brakes, including shoes,cylinders, hoses, and spring hardware for all four wheels Master cylinder was removed and totally rebuilt. (new rear shoes not yet installed but included)
This vintage Olds Rocket 88 starts right up, holds 45 lbs. of oil pressure, runs cool and quiet and tracks straight with good response and acceleration. The Hydramatic shifts perfectly and the passing gear works right as well. It is an absolute pleasure to drive! The lights, signals and gauges all function as does the speedometer. The dual tone horns honk from the horn ring and sound great. The orig radio is intact but in-op. The heater blows, but core has a hole. a replacement is included. The vintage York under dash A/C unit blows like a tornado but all under hood A/C components have been removed. The engine compartment is untouched basically with the exception of the new re-pop bat wing air filter.
This is a car that you will love owning and driving. Please know that it is not a frame off nut and bolt restoration. Neither is it a 50 footer. it looks good up close and far away. As with any 52 year Old vehicle, flaws exist. This car was meant to be an old school rod and that's what it is. Having said that , I would encourage you to come inspect in person or send someone on your behalf PRIOR to placing a bid.
