1955 OLDSMOBILE SUPER 88 CLASSIC-ANTIQUE-RARE!! ****GRAY WHITE **** ONLY 3 OWNERS!! **** This vehicle was originally purchased Brand New off the lot, from my father who owned a local Oldsmobile Dealership. Dad took it in on trade years later and kept it. I grew a fondness to it, bought it, had it repainted the original colors, and kept it garaged for decades. About 6 years ago, I finally sold it. The folks that bought it from me, picked it up on Friday and used it as their wedding car that weekend!! They used it as a daily driver over the next couple of years. I regreted selling it and bought it back. Since then, (about 3 years), the car has just sat in my garage. It won't start and most recently the brake pedal goes right to the floor. I don't know what it will take to get her running again or to repair the brakes. The exterior needs to be repainted. It is faded, uneven, with rust forming in different places and bondo on the driver's rear quarter panel is cracking. (See photos) The overall condition of the paint is poor. The interior is original. The foam in the seats are all dried-out and falling apart. The seat fabric is tired and torn and needs replacement. (See photos) It has the original headliner. The door panels are water stained. The carpet has shrunk from age. (It's original too!) The driver's side floor has a hole near the sheet metal patch-job done 20+ years ago. (See Photo) Tranny fluid continues to leak from the car. (See photo of me pointing to garage floor) The front bumper on the driver's side is slightly tweeked. (See photo) The bumpers were re-chromed 20+ years ago and need to be done again. The tires are in like-new condition (all 5 of them) The large trunk is full of extras. Some chrome, underhood pad, original tire chains, and items I just can't remember. It all goes with the sale of the car. The car comes with the original set of keys. I also had spares cut over the years. I think you all understand that this vehicle is being sold as is, where is. Please ask any questions. Thank you for viewing a true piece of very-well documented history! Good Luck Bidding!!
