Thanks for looking at my auction for my beautiful RESTORED 1973 Peugeot 504 Automatique Sedan. This 504 is part of my collection of classic cars, motorcycles and scooters located in Southern California. I have been down sizeing my collection on Ebay these last few months and here is your chance to own another special car from my collection.
This Peugeot can be shipped to your door in the United States at the buyers expense and also shipped worldwide at the buyers expense. There are lot's of affordable shipping companies out there.
I have excellent positive feedback so please bid with confidence. I have posted almost a hundred pictures of the Peugeot so please look closely at all of the pictures that way you can see how special this car is.
I have owned the Peugeot 504 since November of 2001. Based on the paperwork and what I was told by the seller I am the third owner. This car is full of original documentation. The previous owner kept all of his recipts. The original owners manual, Maintenance Record Book, Business cards from the salesman and finance manager, receipts for repair and maintenance etc.... It's all there and really neat to see.
This Peugeot 504 has always been a California Car from day one. It was purchased at Helane Motors, Inc in Alhambra, California. About 30 miles from my house. I purchased it from the second owner who lived in Temple City. Also about the same 30 mile distance. The car is a 100% California car. A rust free car as far as I can see.
The original Helane Motors dealer plate frames are still on the Peugeot. The original blue California License plates are still on the 504.
The Peugeot has a current title in my name and the tags are paid till August of 2008.
This beautiful 1973 Peugeot 504 Automatique only has 87,942 ORIGINAL MILES. That's 2,513 miles a year. That's amazeing.
The four cylinder gasoline engine runs good. This is the model with the dual Solex Carburetors. I would suggest a full tune-up as it has been mainly used as a show piece in my private museum. The 504 needs run time. It has been pampered it's whole life.
The 504 has a NEW Interstate Battery.
The engine bay is nice and clean. All the original FRENCH Peugeot stickers in the engine compartment are on the car.
The French I.D. Plate in the door jamb is intact.
This is the Automatique or Automatic model. The 504 has a three speed automatic transmission that works great.
Brakes are in good condition. If your going to use the 504 as a daily driver you should have them inspected.
Tires are Michelin and in good condition.
The 504 was repainted beautufully four years ago. It has always been garaged since then. When I purchased the 504 it still had it's orignal paint on the car. It was blue and even though it was in good shape it was faded in certain parts. I decided the best thing to do was have it repainted. I spent a good sum of money on the paint and I was very pleased with the end result. The blue color on the Peugeot really shows off the cars unique body style. You will see that the 504 was painted inside the door jambs and trunk area nicely. The paint has great shine to it. There are a few minor flaws on the paint on the hood. They seem to be prep flaws that I tried to take pictures of but was not easy to show. There is also a ding on the rear side panel of the car that should be easily removed from a dent removal service. I have attached pictures of that ding as well. There was no damage to the paint there.
Don't forget this car is a original California Car that has lived all of it's life in California and has no rust that I can see.
I had the interior done the right after the 504 was painted. I would have to state that this is the nicest interior that I have seen on a Peugeot 504. The tan vinyl interior looks incredible next to the blue paint of the car. I spent major dollars on the interior of this Peugoet but it was well worth it. You will see that the seats were done right. Even the functional head rest were reuhpholsterd the correct way. New carpeting. New headliner, New door panels. New dash pad. Everything that was plastic was painted to match the interior. The dash was left original and does show some patina. Please look closely at all of the pictures of the interior and you will see that it is truely special. You will not be dissapointed.
Orignal steering wheel is on the 504 and it does have some cracking on it.
Many of you will notice that this Peugeot 504 has the nicer looking European bumpers. I purchased those bumpers brand new in France and they look very nice on the Peugeot. They are in excellent condition and give the car a better look overall. The chrome finish on them is excellent.
All glass is intact.
Window rubber is in good condition.
Orignal Jack and spare.
This is a sunroof model. I have not tried to open the sunroof since the new headliner was installed as I did not want to damage it or dirty the headliner in anyway.
All orignal trim is in excellent condition.
All orignal badgeing in good condition .
All lights work.
This is a very comfortable car. It is also very practical. The trunk area is large. You will see in the pictures that the trunk area is completely original and clean. The trunk was painted properly.
The original spare tire is located underneath the rear area of the car. There is a lever that lowers the tire down.
This is a very special Peugeot 504. I know it's not common to see a 504 in this condition. I happen to be a big fan of Peugeots and just sold my 404 to a great Peugeot collector in Vermont that is appreciates these classic cars. I hope that my 504 finds a home that will really appreciate it as well.
The 504 is a classic model. They were used all over the world. I have set a very low reserve for a 504 that has low miles, California Car, Fully Documented and has gone through a frame on restoration. I wish all bidders the best of luck and if you have any question's please feel free to ask.
This 1973 Peugeot 504 is Sold As Is with No Warranties. The winning bidder needs to pay a $1,000 deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. Please don't bid if your not serious.
