1972 Plymouth Valiant Classic Dependable Daily Driver This is a 1972 Plymouth Valiant with only 87,000 original miles. This would make a very cool classic daily driver that would still be friendly at the pump. The car has a slant 6 engine, which according to Wikipedia can achieve 29 MPG on the highway. Slant 6 engines are often regarded as the most dependable engine Mopar ever made. Several have been known to go beyond 300,000 miles. This Valiant starts right up every time and is in great operating condition. It has power steering. It has a manual choke for perfect starts on even the coldest days. The underside of this Valiant is incredible. The normal rust spots around the rear leaf spring mounts and the torsion bar mounts are all rust free. There is no rust through anywhere on the car. The trunk does not even have surface rust! The metallic B5 blue paint looks brand new and shines brilliantly in the sun. The paint is in very good condition, but does have a couple chips as shown in the pictures. There is also a small dent in the right front fender. The front tires have about 100 miles on them. The seats on the car and the dash cover are absolutely perfect. The JVC CD Player and Kenwood speakers sound awesome. The carpet and the headliner are the only items that need attention. Mechanically, the car is in great condition. It runs, shifts, and goes down the road fine. The front suspension will eventually need rebuilt. Overall, this car will only go up in value and will remain as economical and dependable as other cars in this price range, while being much cooler than your average economy car.
