Welcome to my auction. You can tell by my Ebay name that I like Fords; however, we trade, buy, sell and restore any of the Big 3. This car came to us about 3 years ago. It is a 1970 Cuda. A friend of ours knew that we had been looking for an E Body Mopar for several years. He knew the previous owner who had started on the body work and lost interest in the car. The 1970 Cuda is supposed to be Rally Red exterior with Black Interior 340 4-speed car. The story is it came with two different numbers on the body, one number on the radiator support and another number on the cowl and on the dash pad. The car had the factory 4-speed bracket on the frame rail and this led us to believe that the radiator support had been changed and the number on the radiator support was wrong for the car. This part of the story is where muscle car research stories become interesting. A friend of ours from Mt. Ida went to Fort Smith, Arkansas to pick up some Mopar parts from a friend. During the course of their conversation, the guy from Fort Smith had been trying to find out some information about the 1970 Cuda that I owned but did not know how to reach me. Turns out that there were two 1970 Cudas sitting side by side in a salvage yard in Spiro, Oklahoma. The owner of the salvage yard had fallen into bad health and his son set about selling off the cars. He swapped the wrong title and dash pad and sold it with the wrong car. My phone number was passed off to the guy in Fort Smith and we met to exchange the dash pads and get the right parts with the right car. When we got the car, the body work on the shell had mostly been done. My wife was introduced the to the body man who did the work. He described to her that his work is “old school” style and he doesn’t like pneumatic body tools and did all of the work by hand the old school way. The previous owner spent a considerable amount of money on the body work. You can see from the photos of the car on a rotisserie, that it is exactly the way the car came to us. The previous owner had moved the rear springs into put bigger wheels and tires under the car. I put the rear springs back in the stock location and purchased new brackets and hangers to accomplish this. The floor pans were replaced from another car that was an automatic. I have already purchased a 4-speed hump to fix the car back to original. The fenders, front valance, rear valance and the trunk deck lid have not been worked. The deck lid comes with a TA type spoiler. The previous owner promised me a rally hood with the car but wouldn’t deliver it. My wife and I like the shaker hoods so we came up with a stock hood for a shaker hood. The hood that comes with the car has the shaker ring on it. The hood needs to be worked. Although the floor pan is an automatic floor pan, we have the 4-speed hump. The car can be sold with either 4-speed transmission or the automatic transmission. I have the clutch pedals, bell housing and 4-speed hump for the floor pan. The 4-speed transmission or the automatic transmission needs to be rebuilt. Only one or the other comes with the car whichever you want. This car had a 70 model 340 block that is not numbers matching. Unfortunately I don’t have a crank shaft at this time but if I find one before the end of the auction, I will put it with the car and parts. Also a set of heads go with the block and they need to be rebuilt. This car also comes with 2 8 ¾ rear ends. The one under the car is 274 gear open rear end. The other is a 355 sure grip with some wear showing on the ring and pinion teeth. The second axle housing that is not mounted under the car, one of the tubes is slightly bend but could be repaired. The two axles out of this rear end appear to be in usable condition and probably need bearings. The rear springs are new super stock springs with new hangers. The first pictures we took of the car, it was on a rotisserie. We put the rear springs, axle housing, doors, fenders, trunk lid, front and rear valances on the car for transport. Some parts we have 2 of that you may see in the photos. Other parts include: bucket seats with plastic backing, rear seat, an extra fender, headliner with bows and clips, the dash with number (dash has been media blasted and painted), dash switch with windshield wiper, fog lamp or driving lamp switch, driving lights or fog lights (original equipment), trunk hinges, hood hinges, rear glass, grill, tail lights, emergency brake pedal, front and rear bumpers (bolts welded and shaved and bumpers primed), motor mount brackets, brake proportioning valve. I may not mention all of the parts that go with this car and I may not have them photographed but there are a lot of parts that go with the car. You’re probably thinking… why is he selling the car? The short story is…my wife loves E Body cars (Cudas and Challengers). While we were gathering parts for the restoration of this car, we came up with a 1970 Challenger TA (all numbers matching). The TA was purchased from a friend and for sentimental reasons, we are keeping the TA. I have tried to describe the condition of the car as completely as possible. If you have any questions, call the number below. The car is being sold "as is" and "where is". No warranties are expressed or implied. Good luck bidding and if you have any questions, please call us at 501-590-7102. I will help as much as I can with this or any other information.
