1966 Plymouth Barracuda, Formula "S." This is a matching numbers car. The current motor is not the original. It is a 318 HiPo BUILT by MRL Performance, Jackson Michigan, and is putting out approximately 350 horsepower. I has a shiny Edelbrock 4 barrell carb, headers, electronic ignition, etc. Engine component/build information available upon request. It has the quick shifting Formula "S" version of the 904A torqueflight transmission. The perfect, original 273 Commando engine (85K miles) is available along with other parts. Although the engine and parts are not part of this auction, they are available for sale to the winning bidder. There are no leaks, or drips anywhere on the engine, transmission, or rearend. The car was painted base coat/clear coat approximately 2.5 years ago. The color is called "Sage Effect" and it is actually a GM color, but resembles a color offered on the 65 Cuda. The stripes are painted on and were clear coated along with the paint job. Brand new carpet was installed throughout the car in June, 2008 along with new door panels. Sound deadening insulation was installed below the carpet. The headliner is perfect, and the seats are excellent. The dash has the origianl factory tachometer, but it is not working. I installed an aftermarket tach where the ashtray used to be. The tach can be removed, and the ashtray replaced. The dash gauges are fully functional. I personally rebuilt the dash and repaired the lights during the rebuild. In August 2008 I had a Hurst ratchet shifter installed on the floor. The car retains it's original column shifter with only the shift lever removed. Due to the installation of the shifter, the back up lights no longer work. They will work if the old shifter is put back in. Also in August 2008 the dual exhaust system was modified with an "H" pipe and exhaust cut outs. The wheels are 14 inch Mopar rallyes with the original 4 inch bolt pattern. Being a Formula "S" car, it has disc brakes on the front, and drums on the rear. The car stops very nicely. A functioning factory proportioning brake valve is included. All (except back up) lights, headlights brake lights stop lights, dome lights, and fender turn signal indicators work. The underneath is probably the place that would need attention if you wanted to make this a perfect car. It has been undercoated, and the suspension/rearend has not been detailed, however I still have won numerous first prize trophies at local car shows, and also won Best in Class by participant ballot at the 2007 Chrysler Classic in Columbus, Ohio. I have numerous pictures. For more pictures or information you can email me at walburn1@roadrunner.com
