1971 PLYMOUTH DUSTER NO RESERVE!!!! Up for sale is a 1971 Plymouth Duster project car. This is pretty solid car to restore or even make into a nice drag car. When I got the car, it only came with a Bill of Sale. So please understand that no title will be provided. DRIVETRAIN: This duster originally came with a Slant 6, auto, and 7 ¼ rear end. Then engine, tranny, and driveshaft are no longer there but the rear end is still there. INTERIOR: There is no gauge cluster with the car but I believe all the wiring is present on the car. As you can see a previous owner took the interior out to paint the dash and side panels purple. The back seat is in good shape with no rips or tears. The front bench seat doesn’t look like it was the original to the car, but I could be wrong. There is no headliner but all the bows are there with the car. What you see in the pictures is all I have for the interior as I got the car as is. BODY: The body is actually pretty solid from the looks of it, with a few bubbles of rust and minor dings here and there. Like I said earlier, this would be a great starter project at a good price, or a solid drag car. Starting with the front of the car, the bumper looks decent with one ding in it and the grille is in really really nice shape. There are no cracks on this grille. Both fenders are really straight and solid. The hood isn’t bolted to the car because I didn’t have the bolts for it, but it does come with the car. The hood is ok but does have bondo and a little rust on the drivers side front. Both doors are good...the passenger door does have rust in the lower corners but shouldn’t be too hard to fix. All the glass in present and looks to be in good shape, as well as the trim. Both quarter panels are in pretty good shape with the typical rust bubbles in the lower portions.. and a few bubbles popping out on the top part of the driver side wheel well. The floors of the car are ok on the inside. There is pitting and surface rust and maybe a few pinholes here and there, but nothing Por15 can’t fix. The trunk floor on the other hand is in bad shape where the spare tire goes. It will need to be replaced, but the trunk extensions look to be pretty good. The tail-light panel is in good shape, as well including the tail-light lenses, which have no cracks. The rear bumper will need re-chroming, but is straight.
