L@@K! Nice original / unrestored 1964 Plymouth Valiant with bullet-proof slant six 225ci engine Push Button Automatic This vehicle in in very nice shape and runs great! Comes equipped with ice cold (34 degrees under load) air conditioning. Seats have been reupolstered in an original design from 1964. Chrome is in excellent shape (see pics)! Car never driven in the rain and has been garage kept for last two years (car port kept before that). Bran new 80k Kuhmo Touring tires (about 5k on them) / new carburetor alternator. Manual steering and manual 4wheel drum brakes. New brake shoes and wheel cylinders were installed at time of purchase in 2004 (57,500 miles). 1964 is the last year of the push button automatic. There is a Sony am/fm stereo cassette located in the glove box which is nothing to write home about but it was fine it to hookup my XM satellite radio. Gas gauge and winshield washer does not work. I believe the gas gauge problem is a bad float which I purchased a replacement but never got the chance to put in. All other electrical works great - headlights, parking lights, brake lights, blinkers, dash lights, horn, temperature and charging gauges. There is a rusted hole in the lower driver's quarter panel about the size of a fist going into the trunk. The fenders in front both need minor body work down at the bottom. I will be adding undercarriage pictures to this listing later in the week so you can see everything. I can assure you though the body on this Valiant is in EXCELLENT condition. There are nicks and scratches that have accumulated on the car over it's 44 year life span and the passenger side appears to have been repainted. There is some spidering and some paint is flaking off so you can see primer on the passenger side doors. There is no title for this vehicle but I do have a clean registration. Car is currently NY State inspected. Will deliver car (drive it) up to 50 miles from current location. I belong to a car club here on Long Island and this vehicle has been looked over by a lot of our members and everyone has told me this car is in really great shape so buy with confidence. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks for viewing and good luck bidding! On Oct-10-08 at 18:09:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clarify: I don't drive this car on rainy days. That's not to say it wasn't ever driven in the rain in it's lifetime... Also the air conditioning at 34 Degrees under load means I had a digital thermometer inside the vent and while driving the Valiant down the street it got to as cold as 34 Degrees blowing out the vent...thanks... I have undercarriage and closeup pictures available for anyone interested in seeing them please send me an email, thanks…..
