The vehicle for sale is a 1997 Plymouth Voyager. It runs, drives, and passed its last Drive Clean with flying colours, but I've taken it off the road because of structural rust on the driver's side strut tower. I've been told it may be repairable (though confirm this for yourself with a mechanic), but I don't weld, so it's beyond my ability to fix. Below is a description based on my own general assessment as a non-mechanic. I've listed all issues I know of, but I encourage any potential buyers to get the car checked by their own mechanic. The vehicle is being sold as-is. Overview Short wheelbase model (i.e. Voyager, not Grand Voyager). Equipped with the 3.0 L V6 engine and 3-speed automatic transmission. 3 owners, all in the family - my uncle bought the van new, then it went to my parents, then to me. I have owned the van since 2005. Some rust (see pictures) and some mechanical issues (see description below). Never been smoked in, ever. Owned by non-smokers and non-pet-owners since new. Includes aftermarket Reese hitch, receiver and 4-conductor trailer wiring. Vehicle is located in Whitby, Ontario Engine, Transmission Under-hood Pulls strong. Leaks oil - appears to be from the oil filter block and main oil seal, plus from somewhere onto a hot component, causing a burning smell. Leaks power steering fluid. Check engine light is on for the vehicle speed sensor - the sensor signal cuts out occasionally. Equipped with A/C, but drivebelt has been removed (compressor seized). Block heater. Body Frame Structural rust on driver's side strut tower. Body rust on some panels, shown in photos. Windshield is cracked. Some minor dents and dings in keeping with an 11-year-old vehicle. No collisions other than parking lot dings. Rust near exhaust hanger - the muffler has dropped a bit, causing the tailpipe to rub on the trailer hitch frame intermittently. Suspension, Brakes Tires Needs new shocks. Brakes are in good shape, no squealing or grinding. Likely needs 2 new tires to certify. Interior Seat upholstry and headliner in good condition, no rips or stains. Carpet generally good, but has some stains in keeping with an 11-year-old vehicle. Second and third row "Easy Out" roller seat benches. Third row seating folds down for cargo room. Upgraded Infinity AM-FM cassette unit. Interior fan only works on full. Recent Parts Exhaust - 2008 Battery - 2007 Fuel pump - 2007 Battery lead - 2007 ECU (used) - 2007 Spark plugs, leads, distributor cap and rotor - 2007 Front brake pads and disks - 2007 Shipping, Payment Notes to Bidders The vehicle is being sold as-is. Prospective buyers are welcome by mutual agreement to inspect or examine the van to ascertain its condition. The vehicle is being sold where-is. Shipping, if applicable, is up to the buyer, as are any import or export requirements if the vehicle is destined for the US. Bidders with zero or negative feedback: please contact me before bidding. Failure to do this may result in your bid being cancelled. A $250 deposit (cash, certified cheque, money order, PayPal, or email money transfer from a Canadian bank) is due from the winning bidder within 48 hours. The balance is due within 7 days of auction close. For any questions or to arrange to see the vehicle in person, please contact me through the "ask seller a question" feature.
