1950 Pontiac Silver Streak
Up for auction is this scarce 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak four door sedan. It features the Pontiac Straight Eight Flathead motor. This engine has a 268.2 cubic inch displacement, 108 brake horsepower at 3600 RPM, and 208 lb. feet of torque at 1800 RPM. This is a very visually stunning engine, the eight cylinders being inline and having the flat head. The original Carter WCD 719/720 carburetor and air cleaner are in place. Other features include all original hub caps, an automatic transmission, all windows in good shape, and a steering wheel in remarkably good condition (no cracks!). This is a two owner car, though it has been in storage since it was purchased by the second owner.
Optional accessories featured are:
- windshield washer system with glass tank
- Chieftain radio
- dash clock
- exterior windshield sun visor
- traffic signal / stop light guide finder / prism on dash
There are a few small dents and one small chrome piece on the left hand rear door is missing. There is NO rust coming through on the floor boards, quarter panels, fenders, or anywhere else on the car. This car was last tagged and driven in 1970 and has apparently been shedded since then.
The interior of the car is two tone grey and the exterior is faded light green.
An antique title for the car has been applied for and should arrive shortly. $150 deposit is due within 4 business days. The car is to be paid for in full at time of pick up or delivery. Delivery within 1000 miles can be negotiated at current hot-shotter rates.
Please contact us with any questions you may have. We just pulled the car into our shop and are working on getting it running. We will keep the listing updated as new information becomes available. You can email us through eBay, or you can call us at 785-778-2074. We are available at this number during business hours, central time, Monday - Friday.
There are few 'barn finds' left and this one is in great restorable shape. Don't let your chance to own a little post-war Americana slip away!
