THE CAR TRAILER DOES NOT COME WITH THE AUCTION. AND I CAN NOT DELIVER. THANKS. Also, I do not have a "Buy it Now" price in mind.
This is a 1955 Star Chief Pontiac Convertible. If you have a Chevrolet hard top body, you can very easily have a Chevy Convertible. (But, this is TOO nice a car to do that to.)
You hear about Barn finds all the time. I know there is alot of people who won't believe this, but it sat for 25 years in one. There are SO many parts for this car that comes with it, there is not enough room to show all the pictures on Ebay. THERE IS A PARTS CAR that comes with this auction for any missing pieces for the car. As far as I know, ALL the convertible pieces are there except for the motor. This car has no motor or trans in it, but the parts car has the original running gear in it.
The car needs floor pans and rocker panels. But the car comes with 2 new rockers. All the floorboard braces look good. The frame and all still looks great. It has all the right rear quarter glasses and regulators. It has the right back seat for it. The trunk pan is good. The spare tire holder has a rust hole in it; but comes with a good one. The car still has the original paint. The only panel on the car that has ever been changed is the drivers door; someone backed into it. The bent door comes with the car. Both the door bottoms are good; no rust. All the convertible area where it goes down into the quarters is all good. The lips around the back is great.
There is just about 2 of alot of the pieces for the car. There is 2 big tubs full of just parts. As far as the PARTS CAR; you don't have to take it if you don't want it. You can just take what parts you want off of it and leave the rest.
The convertible top still moves freely. Around the trunk lid is all good. The trunk lid is NOT eat out around the bottom. It comes with the right glasses. The fenders are good; no rust or holes in the bottoms. There are 2 sets of quarter panel chrome. All of the convertible stainless around the top, I think, is there. All the latches; the rear arm rests.
I think all that is needed is floor pans, the rockers installed, a front seat, motor, transmission and with the parts car all you will need is the steering column, maybe some dash stuff and the heater. This car is NOT a made convertible. It is a TRUE convertible.
You really need to see the car in person in order to see how good the car really is. Anyone looking for this kind of car.....YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER ONE WITH ALL THESE PARTS AND THIS GOOD OF A BODY......
This car comes with a MARYLAND TITLE. THE HIGHEST BIDDER AT THE END OF THE AUCTION WILL OWN THIS CAR.
