Nice original classic that runs and drives great. Orginal mileage at 86,100. Nice Robin Blue with White top. When I bought the vehicle, I was told I am third owner.
Rare options include power steering, hydramatic automatic transmission, auto-dimmer headlights, spotlight, deluxe trim package, fender skirts and traffic light viewer. Chieftain emblem on hood still lights up.
Body is in great shape. A few rock chips here and there in paint, and a few areas are starting to bubble up behind the paint/trim. Nothing more than minor surface rust on the entire car though. No rot anywhere on car. Floor pans and trunk pan are solid. Most of body has been repainted at some point, and I believe it was a fair quality paint job. Paint still shines nice and looks good from 20', but is not perfect.
All trim/molding in place. Stainless is all in very good condition. Chrome on car in good condition for it's age. Bumper guards and connecting bar have been replaced with NOS pieces in the past year. There's still a few pieces on the front grill that could be rechromed or replaced as the original plating has failed. All chrome shows nice, though there is crazing on some of the chrome. Still shines nice though. All pot metal on car is pitted.
All glass good in car. Minor rock chip in windshield, but no splits. Been like that for years. I replaced drivers window with new flat glass last year.
Interior has been replaced at some point before I bought the car. Seats, headliner, and rear package tray all covered in crushed blue velvet matieral in very good condition. No rips, tears, or stains. Dash could stand to be re-painted. Rubber mat in front, faded carpet in back.
Original straight 8 engine runs and drives out nice. Does not smoke or burn oil. Transmission shifts out fine. New 6-volt battery this year.
I also have a few extra parts for this car that will go with the car.
If you're looking for a nice original classic that you can enjoy and drive as is that won't cost you a fortune, this is it. If you're looking for a show car, this car is not it as it sits. You could certainly restore it if you wanted a show car though.
I have clear Ohio title ready to transfer to the next owner. You'll be hard pressed to find a nicer car for less money. The only reason I'm selling the car is to make space in my garage for some new projects that have got my attention.
In the next few days, I'll also be listing a 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Convertible, so please check my other auctions in the next few days!
Car is also for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction if sold locally. Car is sold as is, where as, with no warranties implied or expressed. Buyer is 100% responsible for making arrangements to pick up car. No shipping until car is paid for in full with cash, or bank cashier's check that has cleared my bank.
