Vehicle Description
1986 Pontiac Fiero SE with a GT fastback body.
This is our every day driver for the past year and a half. We purchased this on Ebay. She has T-Tops which are really sweet this time of the year! This car is a real eye catcher and attention grabber. Since we've bought it we have replaced the following:
1. New Oil Pan
2. New Brakes
3. New Windshield
4. New Wiper Blades
5. New Hood Release Latch and Cable
6. New Water Pump Belt
7. New Distributor Cap, Rotor, Pick Up Coil, and Spark Plugs
8. New Ignition Switch Assembly
9. New Battery
10. All New Bulbs, Interior/Exterior
11.Refurbished Headlight Motors (they both work, but are in the up position because we can't find a connector pin that connects rleay to motor to date).
12.New Muffler Mount
13.4 New Radial Tires with 90% tread
14. New Fuses
15.New Headlight Assemblies
16.New Fuel Filter
17.New Air Filter
This is a reliable car. We just took a 4 hour roundtrip ride to the Neil Armstrong Space Museum, without a care. Insurance is very affordable and gets great gas mileage (25 mpg or better). For it's age, shows very little rust. Could use a paint job. Heat, defrost, rear defrost, all work. Now for what still needs to be done to totally restore this classic:
1. Fuel Guage does not work, cable or electrical, not sure
2. RPM Guage does not work, cable or electrical, not sure
3. Transmission line has temporary repair, should really have lines replaced at some point, leaks a little, but has not affected her ability to get up and go.
4. Missing passenger side inner fender well.
5. Passenger side ground effect trim piece is cracked and needs replaced.
6. Needs a good paint job.
7. The Fiero will come with it's original factory spiked rims (4), the American Racing Star Rims are not included with this auction.
8. Horn works, but paddles need glued back in.
9. The trunk light is not installed.
10. Trunk is missing it's lock, but the pop up motorized interior trunk release works perfect.
11. Missing the battery holder tray.
12.Original AM/FM Cassette Player, radio works, cassette does not, think the belt is missing. Also, tuner knob is missing.
13.A/C Compressor needs replaced, blower works great. Once replaced, will need charged.
14.Has original gray interior and Fiero seats, a little rough, we covered as best we could.
