This is a NON-RUNNING VEHICLE! This vehicle was undergoing a conversion from the old 305 TBI engine to a new built 355 LT1. I was halfway into the conversion process and just ran out of drive to finish it. Need to sell before moving to a new house. The car is a very rare 92 Firebird convertible. There are very few of these sold and even less now. The body is free fomr any major dents or dings. The paint is factory and the clear coat is delaminating (coming off) which was commen of the factory paint from GM these years. It has a brand new cloth top with a glass rear window (factory was plastic). The car has power mirrors and power door locks. Front disc and rear drum brakes with a 2.73:1 rear end ratio. The convertible top mechanism is power release of the tonnau cover and manual up/down. The engine is an LT1 block from a 1994 Buick Roadmaster. The block has been magnafluxed, fully machined and prepped by Cascar machine ship here in Sacramento. It has been bored out .030" to make a 355 cid. The crank is a stock crank that has had the journals ground .010" undersized. The pistons are forged Speed Pro Sealed Power pistons. The rotating assembly has been fully balance for more durability and reliability. The cylinder heads are stock aluminum heads from a 1994 Camaro. They have been prepped and cleaned by Cascar machine shop with new valve guides and 3 angle valve jobs. The cam is a new LT4 "hot" cam with new roller lifters and GMHP springs that came in the LT4 cam kit. Also it has a new Optispark distributor system ($450 to buy these new) and a new water pump. Also included are all the brackets brand new to run accessories for a LT1 Corvette (easier to convert) but there is NO Alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor for the Vette accessories. I have those from the Buick LT1 however. The transmission is a rebuilt 700-R4 Automatic transmission with lockup torque converter. To finish the conversion you would either need to buy a new wiring warness from a company such as Painless wiring which would run the engine but need additional wiring for emissions components. OR I also have the 100% intact wiring harness from the Buick LT1 that is not cut anywhere. It has EVERYTHING you need but has the PCM and fuse block locations in different spots then the Frebird would need so it would take some modification to get it to work right. The engine alone has over $2500 into it so I am taking a loss on this car because I understand it is a project in progress. You can use just the parts or the entire car and either option would be cost beneficial to you. REMINDER: this car does not run and will not be able to be registered until completed. Please do not email me and ask what is wrong with the car and what is wrong with it. I have given plenty of information here. I have been an ASE Master Tech with my Smog license and ASE L1 Advanced Engine performance certified technician for 10 years. I specialized in GM and Chrysler dealerships in this area. I am now an instructor for Engine Management Systems at WyoTech in West Sacramento. All work done on this car is of professional quality and is as good (or better) then any shops in the area. The machine work is also top quality as I have had lots of experience with Cascar and their work while I was at Elk Grove Dodge. (they did all our work there) I am willing to accept $2000 OBO and you would need to tow the car or arrangements can be made with me to tow. This car is a CLEAN TITLE with no wrecks and I am the second owner. The pictures are when the car was running and with much better paint. But it gives you an idea on what this car looks like. The wheels are also all the same now. (at the time of the pic it has a flat o the rear and was using my other cars wheels)
