Vehicle Description This Auction is for a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am, T-tops, Loaded, LT1 350 engine with 4 speed Auto tranny with overdrive(meaning up to 24 miles to the gallon "highway") Im getting around 18 miles to the gallon "city". This car only has 65,000 original miles(reconstructed title). The car needs some TLC and a little body work, but it is a great running car that I drive everyday. The car needs a fender(wich I have a brand new one that just needs bolted on). The paint on the fender is not a perfect match but I thought it would look better than the black primer it came as. The front air dam is scraped up on the passenger side, but its really not that bad(very small amount of filler, few hours of sanding). There is a large dent in the right side quarter that could easily be worked out and an even smaller dent on the left quarter(see pictures). The AC needs a charge, the passenger window needs a little help with your hand to get up and down but works. The passenger headlight motor has a short or something minor.(sometimes you have to wiggle the motor a little and it works fine). The Interior is great for its age( The carpet looks ok and could use a steam clean), but I like to steam them once a month or so. The stitching on the drivers seat has come undone a little but could easily be restitched. So if your a do it yourselfer looking for a great hotrod or just looking for the dependability of a bullet proof LT1 350, then this is the car for you. I dont have time to fix it like I wanted so heres your chance at a great buy. The NADA book value for this car is $10,300 and I wasn't even able to put the low mileage in. Last year the NADA book was $9,200 so the value of these Trans Am's are goin up not down. So make your investment now while the market is still reasonable. Please feel free to contact me and I will take you for a ride in the car.(I will not let anybody just take off in this 300 HP beast) If you are the winning bidder you can however drive it before you pay for it though. The drive train in this car is worth the starting bid. No reserve so this car will sell to highest bidder. $100.00 deposit in 48hours of auction end and the rest due in cash or cashiers check when you pick the car up within 7 days unless we agree otherwise. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
