PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES.
You are bidding on a 1969 Pontiac GTO that comes with a parts car (TRAILER NOT INCLUDED). Rolling coupe body that needs total restoration. Probably not a good project for a beginner. Originally came with 400, 4 speed, hide-aways, power steering, power drum brakes. Mileage reads 49,878 which I'm sure has rolled over at least once. Have PHS documents. No motor, transmission. Has a 12-bolt rear unit - can't tell if it is a posi. Frame appears to be straight but the passenger rear quarter has clearly been in an accident judging by the poor repair work. Rusty body but have replacement fenders, doors, hood, deck lid, and parts car. Most of the original dark green interior is out of the car but is included in the sale.
The orange parts car in the photos has no VIN, has a clean frame, disk brakes, clutch and brake pedals, front endura bumper, 10-bolt rear, and lots of good body metal.
Other parts included in the sale: five Rally II wheels with new center caps and new lugs; restored tilt column; new rear bumper; new front valance panel; 4 speed console; original hide-away headlight setup with grills and doors; most of the original chrome trim; original glass and most window hardware; some miscellaneous new trim parts.
The car was originally sold in Benton, Ky. I bought the car in April 2004 in Nashville, TN with the intent to build into a nice daily driver. I collected the replacement sheet metal, the parts car and the new parts. Work responsibilities have made it impossible for me to complete.
Please ask questions BEFORE bidding. I will try to answer quickly and can provide more specific pictures if needed. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due via CASHIERS CHECK within 48 hours of the end of auction. Balance due by cash or cashiers check within 10 days of end of auction. The winning bidder is responsible for pick up from zip code 42301. Pickup to be accomplished within 14 days of the end of auction - you must be able to arrange for trailering both (two) cars plus all the parts.
