1965 PHS documented fontaine blue/blue interior hardtop. four speed ,4 bbl., 3:36 safetytrac (posi) rear. power steering, power brakes, red line tires, rally two wheels. the car has a newly rebuilt 400 motor with 670 ram air heads.the car is is excellent condition .prior body removal where all rust and metal repaired or replaced.only slight surface rust on frame and small spot near front of door and along bottom under side of door ,small pencilpoint spot near rear woindow. Paint is very good ,other than a small scratch here and there ,and two small spots on hood about the size of a quarter where they tried to buff out small scratches. Chrome ,stainless and brightwork is good. The car will do well in a local car show and has tremendous potential should someone spend time detailing. I puchased the car from the west coast with the intention of restoring and making my driver/local car show car.
I have just completed the following within the last 1000 miles: new griffith aluminum radiator, fan clutch, water pump ,complete rebuild on 400 engine and transmission (wide ratio),rear, new headers and aluminized 2 1/2 " exhaust,mufflers, factory rebuilt orig shifter and re-chromed handle.. rebuilt power steering pump ,belts in short ,everything has been gone through and either replaced or rebuilt .hyas remote mirror and vanity mirror
The car runs well. The interior looks excellent ,including a wood wheel ( le carrerra). There are a few small rips in the original headliner and a small seam tear on top of rear seat where the sun got to it. It has new carpets and when I replaced the carpets the floors looked like new..
This would make a great car for someone that does not want to go through the time and expense of rebuilding one. I am now concentrating on rebuilding a 1965 convertible. I need the room and money to do so. $1000 deposit is due at end of auction, car must be picked up within two weeks and balance of funds paid. I will not deliver car or title untill funds have cleared as confirmed by my bank .the car drives beautiflly and I hust drove it round trip in hot Fla weather (250 mile roundtrip on interstate) car ran perfectly with no overheating., you can drive this one home!!
