Our 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix has the awesome 3.8L, V6 Supercharged engine that develops lots of horsepower and torque and helps this car accelerate quick! The car looks decent inside and out, but has some exterior cosmetic issues. All the electronics function properly and this car will make a great second car. The car has some mechanical issues that any shadetree mechanic should be able to repair thereby making this a nice car that runs and drives great. This car is the loaded GTP edition and comes with leather, heads-up display, AM/FM/CD audio system with 8-speakers, power glass sunroof, and more. It also comes with a dual-zone climate control system that is unfortunately not working. Our 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Supercharged is a decent car inside and out and is overall in average to good condition cosmetically. All electronics work and the interior looks good except for some areas that need detailing and some seat repair. Mechanically, this car needs some work to be 100%. The doors sag and are hard to open and close. Tha A/C does not work and we haven't diagnosed why. The heater core is leaking slightly, the right front strut leaks, the left front wheel bearing is loose, there is a rattle in the catalytic converter, the rear tires need replacing, the valve covers are leaking, the windshield is cracked and there are tiny fluid leaks here and there underneath. The engine runs good, but we cannot guarantee it has no problems because this car was a trade-in and we didn't do any engine diagnostics. This car will not pass VA State Inspection due to the cracked windshield, rear tires and possibly the catalytic converter so it will be sold with a rejection sticker to VA residents or out of state residents that want to drive the car home. The current inspection sticker will remain on the car for out of state residents that are going to transport the car home. We are selling this car at a $1.00 starting bid with No Reserve so if you are a good shade tree mechanic then this is your car.
Engine: Runs good with great acceleration.
Transmission: Shifts good with no leaks.
Exhaust System: No leaks, but one hanger is missing.
Tires: Front tires have 60% treadlife remaining, Rear tires have 20% treadlife remaining.
Brakes: Work fine.
Steering: No problems.
Air Conditioning: Does not work.
Front Seats: Some cracking and tears. Passenger front seat has an area where the stitching is loose.
Rear Seats: Nice!
Carpet: Intact, but dirty.
Headliner: Intact, but dirty. A-Pillar trim is loose on the right side.
Dash: Nice with on area of cracks between the passenger airbag and the glovebox.
Electronics: Everything works great except the vanity mirror lights don't work.
Paint: Good color and shine with numerous small chips and scratches and a few dents.
Hood: Tiny chips.
Right Front Fender: Nice!
Left Front Fender: Dented at rear.
Right Doors: Chips in moulding.
Left Doors: Rusted on front edge.
Right Rear 1/4: Two scrapes.
Left Rear 1/4: Dents and scrapes.
Trunk Lid: Spoiler color is faded.
Front Bumper: Burns marks, gouges, scrapes in paint. Color is faded.
Rear Bumper: Tar on lower right corner.
Grille: Nice!
Glass: Windshield has 8 crack on lower right side.
Frame: No problems.
