Vehicle Description
Original owner, original title, original owner's manual. Engine size - 400 HP, Transmission - Turbo 400, 8 cylinder. Nothing has ever had to be done to the engine or the transmission. Both are in great working order. Car runs like a top. It does have new plug wires. The brakes were replaced about 4 or 5 years ago. The vehicle doesn't use oil, nor does it leak oil in the motor or transmission. It has a dual exhaust system which is good shape. The exhaust is a little rusty around the edges.
The vinyl (white) top was replaced about 14 or 15 years ago with an original replacement ordered from Pontiac. The top is still in good shape, but is starting to checker a little. My Dad is the owner of the vehicle, and said that at one time, the passenger side parking light was broken, but he had it repaired, and you cannot tell. He doesn't remember how long ago that was. As you can see in one of the pictures, right beside the driver side rear wheel well there is approximately a 6 to 7 inch long and maybe 1 to 1-1/2 inch wide rust area at the bottom. The trunk has some rust in the floor of the trunk, but is covered with carpet. The windshield has a major crack in it as shown in one of the pictures. As far as the outside of the vehicle, the body is in great shape.
The interior of the vehicle is not in as good of shape as the outside. The seats (front back), carpeting (front - maybe back) needs to be replaced. Age has hurt the interior. You can see by the pictures what I'm talking about. Also there is a big crack on the dash that is also shown in one of the pictures. The original 8 track player is still in the car, but does not work. The power windows work, but the original switch does not. My Dad put on a loose switch that works the windows. There is a picture of this and the same picture shows all of the cracks in the door covering inside.
I was ten years old when my Dad bought this car, and through all of these years and all of the vehicles he has ever purchased this one is his favorite. He let my sister drive it for a couple of years approximately 4 or 5 years ago, then has had it stored in his barn since. He periodically starts it up (new battery) and drives it, and cleans it. He's decided that it's time to let it go, and hopes someone will get as much enjoyment out of it that he has.
