Vehicle Description
Today I am offering my 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix with t tops. I bought this car about two months ago because I always wanted a g body with t tops. After I purchased this car I found a t top luxury sport monte carlo on ebay and bought it the next week. I thought it would be nice to have both cars, but the monte carlo has turned into a frame off restoration and I am not going to have time to do the grand prix any time soon so here it is up to you to fall in love with.
This car was in small town Iowa. The guy I bought it from drove it regularly, but not on really long trips. Recently the choke started acting up o the choke is wired open. This car has been switched over to a 350 chevy with dual exhaust. It the engine sounds and runs really good but it does smoke some....probably because it has been sitting for a really long time. The transmission is leaking. The transmission is working properly, but has left a decent spot on the floor where it has been sitting since I bought it.
I personaly have driven the car about 5 miles since I bought it. I bought it intending to rebuild it, but then got the monte so it has just sat there. the body and frame seem really solid. The bottoms of the doors do have rust, but not rust through....but I would probably replace them rather than try and fix them. The hood does have a rust hole in it so that I would definatley replace. Other than that there seems to be some light rust where the paint has been chiped or scratched, but nothing major. The car looks like it is in the original paint.
The interior is the buckets with center shifter. everything seems to be there except for the radio. The t top trim is in perfect condition. The dash is absolutly crack free which is super rare, but it does have a little warpage above the glove box which and bee seen in my pics. I also never transferred the title over because I was not planning on driving it any time soon, so it is clear and signed in the previous owners name ready for you to sign and transfer into your name. It is a Nebraska title.
Overall this car would be a great project or parts car. This car must be transported on a trailer......do not expect to drive this car home. I have sold this car two times now on ebay to deadbeat bidders. If you buy this car you must pay a non refundable deposit within 24 hours of the auction ending. Once the deposit is paid the remainder is to be paid at the time of pickup. This is not a listing to come see or testdrive the car and then walk away, unless you like to loose your deposit...this is an auction to buy the car as it is where it is and to tow it home and do with it what you want. Sorry if this sounds mean but if this car is sold to another deadbeat tire kicker I will cut it up and use it for parts cause this is the third listing and I will not relist it again because of how much it cost to sell on here.
Please bid to own as there is no reserve. When was the last time you saw a Grand Prix with T tops? This could be a really hot car. Thanks for looking and please check my other auctions for more great deals and fun toys! Thanks again.
