Ok lets start by stating an obvious fact that this car is a diamond in the rough, it does'nt look like much BUT what it is and for what you can purchase it at makes this a fun ride, so listen to ALL the options this gem has along with all the extras it comes with you WILL be surprised. This is a 1970 Pontiac grand prix with less then 62'000 mile showing and from what I have seen when taking the car apart I believe it is correct. This has the SJ option w/ the 455HO 4bolt main with a nodular iron crank, with #64 heads big valve, small chambers, a Turbo 400 auto trans with a 12 bolt trac lock diff sporting 292 gears( this car was unreal on the highway)it came from the factory in atoll blue(not many around have that color) and black leather seats with a power driver seat option,a black top rounded out the ext. this car came with power windows locks. tilt steering w/ simulated wood wheel, and factory cruise control, power disc brakes and power steering( quick ratio)also this car had the luxury light package that added cornering lamp on the front fenders and reel type underhood lamp and trunk lamp also has the courtesy lights in the door panels. now about the cars current condition, as you can see it is apart, another one of those projects that got started and never finished, the only rust on the car is around the lower part of the rear window a very common problem area on cars with vinyl tops, never been hit minor door dings thats all the front clip is in perfect shape with no rust or damage, the rear deck has some minor bubbling around where there was a dealer tag applied when new and there is some damaged around the trunk lock. I have all the parts plus extras that I was stockpiling for the restoration, I have a perfect dash no cracks a near perfect set of door panels and a set of three tube headers to go with the car. the eng has new cam bearings installed and a new cam RA III spec, new lifters and most of the gaskets for the eng. This is a numbers matching car, except for the carb. I could go on and on. if you want a project car that will be valuable in the future than this is it.Please ask any thing you might have a question about.thank you and good luck On Jul-24-08 at 21:50:21 PDT, seller added the following information: there is some local interest in the car so I reserve the right to end this auction early
