1967 Pontiac Tempest Custom. This baby looks and runs good, it is not perfect but it is alot of fun to cruise and have fun with. You could leave it alone or restore it whatever makes you happy. This car started life with a OHC 6 and a powerglide, it has been upgraded with a motor from a 1964 Bonneville. The motor is an original 389 tri power with 330 hp. It is all stock except for the headers, carb. linkage and air cleaners. Transmission is a T-10, 4 speed with '67 GTO linkage, shifter, pedals and console. Brakes have been upgraded with a new power booster and master cylinder, front has disks, rear is drum. It still has the original 273 open rear it is kinda tall but makes it a great runner on the highway. The original color was Linden Green, it is now Mariner Turquoise. Paint is single stage enamel, not perfect but not a bad looker. Interior is black, the buckets are from a 68 GTO, same size and shape as the 67 seats but different style upholstery. It needs a headliner and carpet, door panels and seats are not perfect but definitly useable. The frame is solid with no issues. The body is in fair shape, fenders are good doors are good and close tight, hinges are perfect. The hood and front header are nice , the decklid is good and the passenger quarter is perfect. The drivers side quarter has had a lower welded in and still needs attention around the wheelwell it looks OK but you can see some poor body work. The rear window area will need a little attention also. The real issue here is in the trunk both rear body mounts are rusted though and the drivers wheelwell housing. The gas tank and straps are new and the center part of the floor is fine. I have a full quarter that I cut from another car with the wheel house to use for repair. The wheels are American Racing Torq Thrust 2's with 15 x 7 front and 15 x 8 in rear with 235/60 front and 265/50 rear BFGoodrich tires.
