For sale is my Black on Black 1978 Pontiac Trans Am hard top. It has the original Pontiac 400 motor and 4 speed.
Interior is very nice. The center console is cracked like 99% of them. The carpet is very nice as are the seats. The dash is not cracked. The radio in it now works but is not original. I do have 2 radios that go with the car that are era correct for it. One is just AM FM and the other is AM FM and cassette. Everything works but the dome light and the oil gauge. It has power windows, rear defog, and tilt. No A/C. No T-Tops.
Exterior needs a paint job and new decals. It has one spot of bondo on the roof that is now cracking away. I have no idea how a dent got there but it did. No rust through just some surface rust on the lower quarters. Passenger door sags a bit. Should only need new hinges. The plastic bumpers are faded.
Everything that needs fixing is pretty much cosmetic. Car runs absolutely perfect!! I put on headers and a cross over exhaust system from Ram Air Restorations. I just put in a BRAND NEW CENTER FORCE DUAL FRICTION clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and pilot bearing in it. Comes with the SS Cragar Rims that are on it plus I have the original snow flakes with almost brand new tires on them. I do have all the PHS Documentation for the car. It has been in Wisconsin its whole life and is VERY solid.
