You are bidding on a 1999 Trans Am from the original owner. I have kept this car in good mechanical condition and have enjoyed it ever since I bought it. I’m only selling it now to help pay for my next project car. This car came fully loaded from the factory, including power seats and windows, leather interior, ten speaker Monsoon speaker system, T-tops, and 6-speed manual transmission. This car is still a blast to drive. It has 182,713 original miles on it, but many parts have been replaced (see below) including a new LS-6 motor with less than 3,000 miles on it.
Features I’ve Added:
SLP Skip Shift bypass (no more annoying first to fourth skip shift feature)
SLP performance Clutch
SLP Short Throw Shifter
KN Air filter and Modified Airbox
Flowmaster Exhaust
Stainless Tips
XM Radio
Recent Repairs and Modifications:
New Power Steering Pump
New Injector seals
New AC Compressor
New Rack
New Alternator
New Water Pump
New Flywheel
New LS6 block and Pistons
A little more about the motor. I purchased a new LS6 block and pistons from Street Rod Engines (you can find his store on Ebay, excellent to work with!), but because he didn’t have the ability to reprogram the ECM, he kept the original LS1 cam and programming. This engine is strong as is and shows an obvious power increase from its LS1 brother. But for the cost of a cam upgrade and a reprogram, the power could be increased beyond the stock LS1 320 hp number to the full potential of the LS6 of over 385 hp. That’s an easy and cheap 65 horses!
Condition of the Car:
The paint and interior are in fair shape. The right rear quarter panel has a small dent from a parking lot. There is a small crack in the dash and the rear seat is worn from sun exposure. All in all, the interior is in great shape. The tires have lots of life in them as well as the brakes. The car is mechanically sound. If I were to keep this vehicle, I would probably replace the synchros in the six speed transmission. Although the car shifts smooth, you can hear the synchros vibrate at high rpms. Only noticable when you're in a real hurry. :)
Title is clear and on hand. Car was purchased in Louisiana and Titled in Alabama. No warranty sold as is.
