Up for bid is a 1989 Pontiac Trans Am, with 95K original miles. Car is equipped with Air Conditioning, T-Tops including leather bag in hatch, Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, 2 Way Adjustable Driver's Seat, Automatic Transmission ( 700 R-4 I Believe), Tinted Windows including T-Tops Hatch and Side Windows, 5.0 TBI very powerful after 20 years, Pioneer CD Player, With Pioneer 6x9s and Pioneer Tweeters, as well as being wired for Subs with Rockford Fosgate Wiring preinstalled under all carpet. Also has cloth retractable cover to hide what is sitting in the hatch. Dash Pad is in great condition, shiny black, no cracks or wear even showing, Dash is in similar shape, always well taken care of with STP. Carpet was just installed, interior originally Gray, but we dyed the plastic black, and changed the carpet to black, but left seats gray, and a few other pieces gray to give it a different look. All Guages work, buttons appear to be in new condition, all switches appear to be in new condition as well. Everything is there. Listed below are a few of the things we have got around to doing. .....
1) Newer Black Carpet
2) Painted Interior Plastic
3) Updated Sound System, Pioneer Head Unit WMA/MP3/CD Compatable, Pioneer Tweeters, Pioneer 6x9's, as Well as Rockford Fosgate Wiring pre-wired into system, 1000 Watt 1 Farad Rockford Fosgate Capacitor included, as well as all fuses and distribution block also, all of which is Rockford Fosgate.
4) NEW T-Top Center Bar
5) SoffSeal Weatherstripping around T-Tops, slightly modified, did not fit correctly (aftermarket)
6) New Rear Suspension, replaced with Genuine GM WS6 Coils
7) New KYB Shocks and Struts All Way Around
8) Recent Tune-Up, including Plugs, Wires, Cap, Button, Filters ( Except Air).
9) K and N Air Filter
10) Transmission and Engine Flush 1,000 Miles ago, Running with Valvoline 10w30 Max Life.
11) New Brakes, Rotors, and Pads All Way Around.
12) Newer 2 and a 1/2 inch Fiberglass Cowl Induction Hood, Probably could be active with the plumbing installed, but has wire mesh covering slot now.
13) NICE SOUNDING FLOWMASTER EXHAUST, with dual tips out the rear. Sounds exactly how a muscle car should sound.
Now for the "Bad".....
1) Front Right Ground Effects Piece ( Passenger) Has been clipped off, becuase it was cracked, and looked rediculous jagged.
2) A/C Needs Recharged
3) Plastic inside Needs Touched Up. Very Few Spots. Maybe 3-4 Spots.
4) T-Tops did leak a little before replacing parts listed above, but I never drive it out in the rain, so I do not know the current condition of the leak, even then it was very small, and very little.
5) Seats could use shampoo on them, but look fine now, i'm just very picky about them.
6) Driver's side headlight motor will motor it down, but occasionally up. I have disconnected the motors, and left them up to "correct" this problem. I just got sick of driving with the fog lights on only, and leaving them down, instead of having the car "wink" at you. Passenger side is completely fine.
Some Extras.....
1) If You use the Buy It Now, The 22" Rims WILL be included. Rims are about 2 months old, Tires are good, rims have some slight wear on them, they are actually for my 07 Charger, But put them on the Trans am for show. Rub very slightly on turns, but no big deal. some metal was cut away, and I only use it for show at local car shows.
2) Have Original Hood for the Car
3) I have ONE, I Repeat ONE front WS6 Coil, which is only ONE of TWO left in the whole United States that is brand new, sitting on a GM dealers Shelf. The other one is out in California, and can be purchased for 200 plus shipping. Any Dealer with OEM Connection Software will be able to tell you where.
4) Rims are original, and do come with the car, tires are about 75% good all way around, and were recently rotated when I swapped the wheels back out.
Everything about the car is awesome. I am just getting too many cars sitting around and need to get rid of some. I cannot say enough about it, nor do the pics speak for the car. The car has been in my family's possession for the past 5 years, and we purchased it from Coughlin Auto in Newark when the vehicle had only 52,000 miles on it. The previous owner, we were told, loved the car, kept it garaged, didn't run it hard, was an older gentleman locally that wanted a Vette, so he traded this in for a Brand New Corvette.
