Up for bid is a 1970 Porsche 911T coupe with turbo body parts installed. Car was bought in West Palm Beach, Florida and has always been driven in Florida as far as I know. The sheet metal is the best I've seen on a car this age. No rot on it - must be seen to believe. This car was a slow project of mine and has never been completed. Rear flares, front fenders and duck tail are all fiberglass. The hood, front and rear valances are steel (original Porsche). The front and rear bumpers are original Porsche parts (aluminum). The engine is a 2.2 litre and is basically stock except for the new PMO carburetors and E cam shafts. The engine is very low mileage - maybe 100 miles - since it was rebuilt. Everything on the car is mechanically sound, all bushings, gaskets, seals, bearings, brake lines have been replaced with new parts. There is no backseat in the car just an aluminum panel. I spent around $4,000 on the paint but was disappointed with the job. Looks great from a little distance but there are some small issues - not perfect! There is some bubbling that has occurred where the rain gutters were shaved prior to painting. A small spot of bubbling shows behind the passenger door and above right rear quarter. All these spots are hard to see. See pics. I talked with a friend who paints cars and he said it would be a pretty easy fix (would be easy to blend the high quality Sikkens paint). Other than that the body is straight and beautiful. For some reason the previous owner installed terminal strips before fuse holders (see pics). This did not affect anything on the car it's just strange. The Momo steering wheel shown will not be sold with the car. I put the original steering wheel back on it for this sale. What the car needs: I would have the 1-2 synchro replaced in the transmission. It shifts fine, just can't shift from first to second quickly without a bang. Wheels need to be aligned due to all new suspension installed. Carbs need fine tuning (I have various jets, idle airs, etc.) Oil thermostat needs to be set. That's basically it, mechanically. Obviously, the ugly wheels and tires need replacing. The car comes with all a/c parts needed to complete the a/c system. The condition of the York compressor, that somebody painted, is unknown. The a/c lines are brand new. Other parts that come with the car are: Sheet metal that surrounds the engine. Duct work and controls for fresh air vents that go under the trunk. You could not possibly build this car to this stage for the amount of my low reserve. The following list shows the new (unless specified) parts I bought and put on the car: PMO CARBURETORS - MADE FROM WEBBER CASTINGS 2100 HOLLEY RED FUEL PUMP 100 ALTERNATOR 140 STARTER 145 CAM TOWER OIL LINES 40 JACOBS PORSCHE SPARK PLUG WIRES 130 JACOBS MAGNETIC CORE IGNITION COIL 40 PERMATUNE CD IGNITION MODULE 230 IGNITION CABLE 112 DUAL DIE HARD HEAVY DUTY BATTERIES 200 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER 130 OIL LINES 150 REWORKED CAM SHAFTS 911 E BY WEB CAM 580 ROCKER ARMS RESURFACED (12) 120 BALANCE PORSCHE ENGINE ASSEMBLY 133 DRIVE TRAIN: SACHS CLUTCH SET 770 CHROME MOLY CLUTCH FORK BALL PIN 38 6061-T6 AIRCRAFT ALUMINUM CLUTCH PIN 50 WELTMEISTER SHORT SHIFT KIT 100 WELTMEISTER LOCK OUT KIT 43 WELTMEISTER BRONZE PEDAL BUSHINGS 17 FOR THE SUSPENSION: NEW TURBO TIE ROD ENDS 200 KYB STRUTS 81 KYB SHOCKS 100 WHEEL BEARINGS (ALL - INNER, OUTER AND REAR) ---- WELTMEISTER STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINES 100 BRAKE ROTORS 200 MOTOR MOUNTS 50 AUTO POWER ROLL BAR 400 GAS TANK SENDING UNIT 105 BALL JOINTS 126 ADJUSTABLE SPRING PLATES 380 4 REBUILT BRAKE CALIPERS ---- PARTIAL TOTAL FOR PARTS $7110 If anybody wants to see more pictures, I would be happy to email them to you. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. On Sep-06-08 at 07:55:35 PDT, seller added the following information: The car also comes with original porsche side mirrors , that would need to be painted to match the car. All the rubber moulding on the car is new. I also have new door felt and moulding to finish the doors. The electric window regulators need to be installed,I dont have the switches needed to do the install. There is no carpet in the car, I just have dynomat on the floors. The reserve is $6,500. On Sep-09-08 at 10:56:46 PDT, seller added the following information: The rims on the car are shot In my opinion there is rust along the chrome . The front tires are unevenly worn due to the wheels not being aligned. The back tires are in excellent shape.( the tires are goodyear gatorbacks ) I did not take a picture of the wheels and tires, In the ad I just stated that they need replacing. The car drives and stops great , but needs to be completed like I described. Its just an awesome car for someone to take and put the little finishing touches on. I need to sell this car so If you really want the car, I encourage you to bid even If its below the reserve price. Thanks. On Sep-10-08 at 11:18:03 PDT, seller added the following information: A new black headliner is installed in the car. If the car hits my reserve price ,I will throw in a brand new sachs clutch set for a 2.7L ,a fiberglass turbo tail , extra rear glass , ignition box and a box of new and used misc. 911 parts.(Throttle linkage , throttle linkage ends , screws , gaskets ,rubber parts etc.) You could easily make $700.00 - $1000.00 selling the stuff on ebay. Good luck bidding
