This Auction Is For A European Specifications Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet VIN number is: WP0ZZZ91ZFS150709 Note: This automobile was listed a few days ago and a few days into the auction ebay without warning cancelled the auction saying the VIN number was wrong. I had no chance to correct it and continue the auction as it was completely deleted by ebay. I apologize for any watchers or bidders that were interested that I couldn't reach after the cancelation. This car has been a daily driver since I got it a couple of years ago. My intentions were to bring it to showroom condition but I have three other older Porsches (356s) to restore and not enough space or time so I'm hoping this special 911 will find a home with someone that appreciates it and can really enjoy it. As noted in the auction title this is a european specifications car. This means that it was not assembled for the U.S. market when it left the factory. It has a stronger 228 hp engine (the U.S. cars had 200hp). It has a factory reverse backup light (next to the driver's side rear bumper guard) , factory sport seats and it also has smaller, sleeker looking rear bumper guards. I'm the third owner, the first owner was a lawyer that imported it from Germany since new and then sold it to another retired gentleman that barely drove it. The car runs strong with no oil leaks and is in excellent mechanical condition with only 80,000 mi (if you're familiar with 911s you'll know their engines usually go up to 300,000 miles without any major overhauling). The transmission is a 915 with the factory oil cooler and shifts flawlessly. The buyer will receive full documentation including all the service records since the car was imported new to the U.S., copies of the import documents and the original owner's manual. This automobile has never been hit and has the original paint. It has some "patina" so you can use it as it is or have a reputable paint shop respray it with a good quality paint (it should'nt cost much since there is no major body work needed). I'm of the opinion that it's better to buy a car with the original paint and not something that someone repainted to cover poor body work or rust etc. The Florida sun has taken its toll on the interior so I've reupholstered the original factory "sport" recaro seats (the ones with the higher side bolsters) with genuine original equipment leather and a full set of original german silvernit carpet is also included with the sale. Note: I'll post pictures of the seats shortly. A new original four spoke steering wheel was also installed. The only two things that need to be replaced by the new owner are the convertible top canvas (you can buy one for as little as $350 on ebay) and the top dashboard (this car came with a factory leather dash, you may be able to use the same dash and just recover it). I'm also selling it with brand new Continental Conti 2 tires on all four of its original fuch style wheels.
