This car began life in 1968 as a 912. It has now been almost fully converted into a 911 RS. It runs and drives excellent around town yet is also set up for autocross and track days. Drivetrain: 1975-6 2.7 CIS. Rebuilt about 30k ago. Runs strong and smooth. Very clean with no leaks. recently tuned up and heads re-torqued. Has pop-off valve, new heater blower motor, and Bursch exhaust but is otherwise stock as far as I know. Rebuilt 1972 901 5spd tranny recently installed with new clutch and new factory throw-out bearing. Short-shifter shifts smooth and fast. Suspension/Brakes: 1974 911S Bilstein front struts with SC calipers and newer cross-drilled rotors and pads. 20mm front swaybar and 21mm front torsion bars. Rear has KYB struts, 28mm torsion bars, new Sway-Away adjustable springplates and urethane bushings, and stock 912 brakes. Comes with SC rear calipers and new rear rotors to match. just needs an adaptor to bolt the calipers up to the 912 trailing arms. brakes work great without this though. Wheels are vintage American Racing in near showroom condition. 16x7 fronts with 205-55-16 Yokos and rears are 16x8's with new 245-45-16's. Body: original 1968 SWB body sanded to the metal in most areas and steel SC flares welded on. New fiberglass rear RS bumper modified to fit SWB. One piece fiberglass Ducktail trunklid added. original trunklid comes with it, also painted to match. Then professionally painted "Mexico Blue", a stock Porsche color. Just out of paint shop 3 months ago.There is one flaw in the paint at the front lower edge of the right flare. Interior has RS door panels in excellent shape and original style dash top in excellent shape. All gauges work. Has custom welded 6pt cage that is designed to be tight to the lines of the car to allow easy in and out for regular street driving. There is a bit of rust in the front floors. They could be salvaged as is or new ones welded in. Still needs carpet. Has nice CD player with 4 speakers. Tags good through 2010. This car is fast, beautiful, and well set up. It is ready to drive anywhere in the country.
