Up for auction/sale is a 1972 911 Porsche. This is a NON RUNNING PROJECT CAR and is SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS. This car needs to be trailered.
It is presently Licensed in California. Registration expires in March. 2009. Car located in Colorado.
This is a project that needs some attention. This Porsche was a running driveable car until engine blew. It has a fairly solid body. The windshield is new.
New tires on car. Rears- P275/40ZR17 (10 inch) Fronts - 225/45ZR17 (8 inch). Rims are solid, no spacers. Rims need to be rechromed in near furture. This is a 1972 Porsche Targa that has been professionally converted to a manual convertible top. ( One of the braces broken on top) - The body was updated years ago to look like a 1984 Carrera Cabriolet. ( The cost of body work, body parts, and top exceeds the sell price). Has dent on drivers door. The Porsche has a Defective Chevy V8 engine in the car presently (Rod Simpson Kit). The engine is no longer running and needs to be replaced. What you get when you purchase this Porsche is additional items which includes all the equipment to take the engine out. Car has been lowered for better handling and has front Strut Brace Bar - Rear Sway Bar - Electric side mirrors not working. Car paint has various nicks and sratches. This car was a daily driver.
Interior: Black carpeting still in good condition - Sports seats are Black but need recovering, they are cracked/ dried out , but not torn. Have sheep skins to cover them. Passenger door panel pouch needs to be replaced tends to fall off mounting screws.
Included in the Package: 350 Used Chevy running engine /300 HP( Engine was running when pulled) - Headers - extra rear bumber - extra rear engine deck/hood - engine hoist- trans jack- engine dolley - engine stand.
Illness forces sale.. This car needs to have engine replaced. I would rebuild carburator or buy another carb, also do tuneup. - I would put on New headers and have exhaust pipes installed for new headers. You can use exsisting mufflers. - It has mechanical water pump turned by engine. I would buy electric water pump and install that so when engine is off it still circulates water until engine is cool. Radiator has fan with temp sensor on it. - I would have Transmission looked at and rebuilt if needed. I would also replace clutch because the engine is out. - This car has stock rear engine deck lid. So it looks stock.. The defective chevy engine has low profile aluminum intake manifold on it. If you put on high rise (Which used engine has on it) you will need to put on Turbo tail or whale tail on engine lid for clearance.
