1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (964) sunroof coupe. 5 speed, all power options, full leather, 17" 2 piece wheels, sony stereo with am./fm/cd/mp3/usb and ipod connector. cold a/c. lowered slightly on coilover suspension. front strut tower brace. 2000 miles on Toyo T1R tires. Brakes at 75%. Excellent compression and leakdown. Oil pressure very good at all temperatures. The engine's top end and clutch were redone at about 145k. Gets 20 mpg average, mid- to upper-20s on the highway. I;ve owned 13 911s so far, and this is the nicest, most versitile one to date. Powerful enough, the handling is GREAT, pretty nice paint for an 18 year old car. Most of the paint is original, though it looks like the bumper cover may have been resprayed at some point because there are stone chips on the hood that don't match the bumper. It's black - nicks show up! Overall it's a real head turner and something I enjoy driving every day during the nice weather. About the title: My New York Title doesn't say anything on it about being a salvage vehicle, and CarFax won't tell you anything about that, either. In the interest of full disclosure, I once talked to an owner from years ago who bought this car at auction. It had been a "recovered theft", and he bought it because it had so little wrong with it. Th door locks and ignition was messed with, and the radio was gone. Here's a clip from his email that I saved: "... when I got the car the key assembly had to be replaced the stereo. The thieves stole the custom wheels, but were nice enough to put the stock wheels back on it. I think the car was an owner theft, because of how clean the stereo was removed the key had been drilled, but would not turn with a screwdriver. It was like it was done just for looks. It came with the HR suspension. I added the strut tower brace, wheels, stereo, exhaust, tint, I think I did a chip in it also, but cant remember that long ago..." Take that for what it's worth. I've put some miles on the car and obviously any kind of damage from 10 years ago is long in it's past. The interior is nice, too. The leather seats look great, the dash is not cracked. Prior owner had the driver's side side bolster leather replaced (the part that typically wears.) I can't think of anything else, so if you've got questions, please ask! Also, if you would like a SPECIFIC picture of something, let me know and I'll email it to you. Shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer, though I'll help with the arrangements on my end in any way I can. I'd like a $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours and the remainder in certified funds unless you and I make other arrangements prior to your winning the auction.. (PayPal costs me 3%) I really like this car. I think you will, too. Thanks for looking and good luck!
