Item for sale is a Porsche 911 Signature model. These were the rarest of Porsche 911's of the era, having only made 200 worldwide. This was a very coveted model and the steering wheel has Ferry Porsche's signature embossed into the horn pad. This car has rear body damage due to an accident. The rear panels are damaged from the accident but all other areas forward of the rear fenders are undamaged. The front hood, fenders and bumpers were missing when I acquired the car 10 years ago. These are available used for around $ 1,000 for all the missing panels. I have a replacement rear clip section for the rear damage which goes with the car . The car has 81,000 miles and is otherwise pretty much complete. There is no rust in the pans or suspension mounts as it has been a west coast car since new.
The wheels pictured are not the original wheels and tires and are not included. The original signature wheels match the finish on the car and are included in this auction. There is also the certificate of authenticity which is included. It verifies the car as an authentic Signature model and specifies the number of models made as 200 and as "rare indeed." This is a very restorable car and VERY worthwhile as a collector. the early Porsche market is very strong and rapidly going up each year which makes this a very desirable project. The engine and trans are offered with the car. The transmission has a broken bell housing and both have been removed from the car.
Buyer pays for shipping but I will help with coordinating transport if necessary. Car is sold as is. A $1,000 deposit is required within 48 hours of auctions end and payment in full required within 7 days of auctions end.
