You're viewing an awesome example of an non-restored original 1968 Porsche 912. Original California car with original black plates. Absolutely all numbers match. Absolutely no rust. Original owner lived near San Diego and that's where it lived until I brought it east last year. Apparently he never once drove it in the rain. Has recently had a major tune-up, new generator and rebuilt carburetors. Tires, brakes and clutch all have of life in them. This 912 has the optional 5-speed which makes it even better. Also has a tan interior as opposed to the standard black. Original radio still works. All gauges work except for the clock which works when it wants to. Some obvious signs of age do exist. This car is not perfect! There is some oxidation in the paint. Its a 40 year old car. It has some stone chips and nicks -- but no accidents ever and NO RUST. The headliner has a few tears in it and discoloration. There is also some dash damage glove box door. The car is perfect to either leave exactly the way it is (as I did) or to fully restore it. It's perfect for either option. The car runs beautifully and is a blast to drive. Not only does it perform and hug the rode in the usual Porsche way, it's actually very fuel efficient. The design is legendary. It's complete with the original tool kit including its red pro tire inflation gauge. I'll also be including the owner's manuel and brand new book on 912 restoration. The original Hirschmann antenna instructions & hanging tag along with the original red Porches maintenance record book goes with it as well. A file of its maintenance over the years too. Original tool kit is in the trunk. I hope this piece of art goes to a new who will love it as it has been so far. This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle.
