Vehicle Description
This car is a factory 914-6, s/n 9140430287 with matching 2.0 engine s/n 6404171. In the 70's, the car received fiberglass GT flares, modified gear ratios in the trans (specs noted in the owner's manual) and the side shift configuration was installed. It was purchased by the previous owner in 2000 who began a complete ground up restoration. He did an amazing job! The car was completely dismantled for restoration, all rust was removed, and the entire car was bead blasted to bare metal. New floor pans were installed, the car was acid etched, primed, and finished with beautiful Spies-Hecker midnight blue paint. The bottom was then undercoated. Tons of new and expensive parts have been bought! Some of the parts include brake lines, master cylinder, adjustable brake proportioning valve, turbo tie rod ends, rebuilt brake calipers, and LOTS of rubber trim pieces including both front and rear bumper tops. I bought the car from him and have made a great deal of progress. I considered finishing the car and then selling it but I truly don't have the time to finish it as well as it has been done up until now.
