My father is the second owner. He bought it on 8/8/88 from the original owner in stock condition with 57,538 miles on it. My dad is a perfectionist. It wasn't long before he noticed some things that needed attention on the car... So started the long process of restoration (by long I mean all the way until last week) During that time the car has been: stripped down to the frame, sandblasted, repainted, and built back up with all original parts. The paint job and body work were done by a local, reputable shop - Classic Auto Body (they are still in business, phone number listed below) Mechanical Condition While the Porsche was pieced out my dad took the opportunity to have everything else that had questionable war either repladced or fixed. Any replacement parts used were original, authentic. The mechanic that helped my dad do the work owned a shop in town for about 20 years where he specialized in import automobiles. My dad has known him his whole life. (I remember as a kid him tearing apart and completely restoring a lamborghini, a 911, and jaguar) He is a meticulous worker. Mechanical Work Done: New Clutch and Pressure Plate New Throwout Bearing New brakes New Exhaust Cylinder Heads were resurfaced valves were ground The car has sat in a clean, dry garage under a cover since it was almost ready for the road again about 14 years ago. Actually, it's only been driven about 400 miles total since my dad bought it 20 years ago. About a month ago it was towed into the shop for a tune up and to clean out the gas tank for some fresh fuel. $1000 worth of work and it's back on the road - in great shape, ready to go. If you have any questions, my dad would be happy to answer what he can: Tom (262)705-7263 You can also reach me by email or call me(Jeff) (262)206-4120 Also, here is the number for the shop that did the paint and body work: Classic Auto Body (262)658-4330 Click HERE for images of reciepts and paperwork I have on the car Click HERE for other pics of car's interior, exterior, engine, and trunks Template by Powersellersforum.com Authenticity Checklist & Vehicle Condition for a 1973 Porsche 914-4 2.0 Is there anything wrong with this car?
