Vehicle Description
Up for auction is my 1981 Porsche 924. Over the last year and a half I have had a great time trying to restore this vehicle to its original condition. I have replaced the fuel pump, injectors, front tires, refurbished exhaust, seals, front lights, sport antenna, and new interior door panels and hardware, all of which is working, plus many other odds and ends (goodies must be seen to appreciate). The car is a manual five speed with 180,000 miles (engine runs like a top). VIN #: MA20047. Car turns over, runs, and drives. Has been garaged and covered the whole time I have had it. Buyer must do paper work to obtain title through DMV; but rest assured that I have all paperwork and original manuals to help obtain rightful ownership. Aesthetically the car is gun smoke gray with gold honeycomb rims (BBC rims). I have redone some parts of the interior in black leather which give the car a super nice touch. The primary issue with the car that I know of is that the distributor is putting out too much gas, causing the air/gas ratio to be too rich. I am hardly a mechanic. This causes the car to smoke a bit while running and then stall shortly after idling for some time. This car is totally 98% complete. The pictures show all suspicious body issues, all of which I feel do not distract from the cars overall classic appearance.
