this is a 1985 Porsche 928S in very good condition with excellent mileage for such an old car. Mechanically perfect, with after-market Fittipaldi wheels. drives wonderfully, as all 928's are supposed to do. sunroof, power windows and locks all in fine working order. new 928S matching floormats.
what issues it does have include:
- a small vertical crack in the front passenger side fender
- sound system not working
- slight deformation of panel right behind front passenger side wheel
- tiny rip in leather on outside of driver's seat
- 3 small bubbles in front windshield*
- no shifter cap*
- various small scratches and wear
the * denotes defects that could be fixed by the end of this auction. the small scratches and wear that the car has are in my experience far less than what you'd expect from a 23-year-old vehicle; you can tell that it's been pampered for most of it's life.
at around 90,000 miles it would be hard to find a 928 in this kind of condition. this car needs a bit of work, as you can see, but all of it is nonessential. that aside it is the best driving car i've ever had the experience to sit behind the wheel of. fantastic acceleration, handling, and balance; what you'd expect from a 928S, in other words. once upon a time this was a $70,000 car, and you can tell from the way it drives. i might be willing to deliver this car to certain areas of the country in the coming weeks.
