This Porsche 944
This beauty was enjoyed by its first California owner until 1999 when it was sold to a collector in Utah. The original and second owners kept this car garaged and properly serviced since day one. Being essentially garaged since day one, lovingly cared for, and never wrecked this 944 hasn't had really a chance to age like many others out there. The paint is all original and very shiny. The interior is pretty much as nice any any early 944 can get and mechanically it runs out very strong and smooth. Here is your chance to own possibly one of the most well preserved original 944s in the country. All original manuals, service records, original gas tank lid, original wheel lock keys, the original factory issued keys, original unused spare tire, original jack, and original tool kit and air compressor in pristine condition all come with the car.
Mechanicals
Runs and drives like a dream. The engine fires up strong on the first try on a cold morning without any exhaust smoke. The idle is smooth and revs are perfect. Engine temp remains constantly at a healthy temperature when fully warmed up. The transmission shifts far smoother than most vintage Porsches I have driven and doesn't skip a beat. Power steering is exceptionally tight as are the brakes and suspension. Overall excellent mechanicals. I would feel comfortable driving this car across the country.
Body/Paint
Paint and body are in superior condition. I knit-picked for rust and couldn't find any anywhere. The paint is exceptional and all original. A true rarity for any 944. Parking lots dings and scratches are practically non-existent except for a very very shallow ( subtle) indentation on the passenger side front fender. If you look close in the pictures you may see it, but it's not very noticeable and should easily pop out. Fuchs wheels are in near perfect condition. Matching Dunlop tires are near new all around.
Interior
Very nice and clean interior. With exception to a few hairline cracks on the dash which are just starting to appear after 24 years. The leather is still in nice condition. The seats are still firm and not sunk in. Original carpets are still shiny and soft, NOT brittle or faded. Original steering wheel is in exceptional condition with no wearing of the leather or seam separations. Overall very nice interior.
Power Accessories
All power accessories work as they should except the power Hirshmann antenna, which are very well known for failure. The power windows work great, as well as the pop-up/pop-off sunroof mechanism, optional cruise control, A/C (blows cold) and all instruments work as they should, even the clock. Even the factory remote hatch de-latch mechanism works!

One of the best looking and driving 944s I've seen in years
The paint is extremely glossy and smooth, not chalky or glazed. Here you can see a scratch on the front left tip of the spoiler

Very clean engine compartment. But looks are skin deep...this engine runs like new.

This vehicle is located safely in my garage at the Jeremy Ranch Country Club in Park City, Utah just 30 min away from Salt Lake International Airport. Seller is happy to pick the winning bidder up from the airport. Seller is also very experienced in vehicle shipment and will help coordinate shipment anywhere on earth at the buyer's request and expense. Vehicle will not be released to any shipper until all funds have cleared.
Professional pre-purchase inspections are welcome but MUST be made BEFORE the auction ends...NO EXCEPTIONS. Please ask any questions you may have about this vehicle BEFORE you bid. If you're in the area I welcome you to come take it for a test drive.
A $500 non-refundable partial payment is required within 24 hours from the end of this auction, paypal is accepted
A dealer document fee of $175.00 will be added to the auction closing price or agreed upon price.
An optional 15 day drive-away permit will be available for $8.25
Within (4) business days of the end of auction, full payment must be received either by cashiers-check (only from bank that also exists in Utah), direct deposit, cash, or bank to bank wire transfer (recommended).
Free and clear title is in seller's possession and will be transferred upon payment in full.
