Up for bid is a 1929 Mercedes Benz Gazelle Deluxe Model on an early 70's VW frame with a manual transmission + MANY extras to make it a beauty! I purchased the vehicle from a dealership in Iowa (but the car is from Arizona) and had it shipped to Pennsylvania. When I purchased this vehicle, it did not run, the wiring was all messed up, the turn signals did not work, the brakes were locked up, and it was missing 1 front turn signal assembly. After many late nights, I rewired most of the vehicle, replaced the turn signal switch, replaced the driving lights, put new front brakes, and replaced both front turn signal assemblies so that they match. It runs and is all in working order now. It came with a black top and a red leather cover that is supposed to cover the trunk area. The top and cover are in decent condition; However, I purchased a new black top and black interior to enhance the beauty of the vehicle along with new floorboards. The problem is, I have four year old twins and my wife and I work separate shifts, so I do not have any time to complete this project and it is taking up too much room in my garage. All it needs is a little more TLC and this gazelle will be the source of great enjoyment and a real headturner!
So, I am putting the car up for auction along with the original top and cover with a starting bid of $1,000.00. However, if you use the buy it now option or the bidding reaches $4,500+, I will include the new top, interior, welting, and floor boards pictured along with the car. If not, I will part them out on ebay.
If you are in the Pittsburgh, PA area, you are welcomed to take it for a test drive. The vehicle is being sold in "AS-IS" condition, so please ask any questions before bidding. If you would like assistance with setting up shipping, I will help in any way I can. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
