|
1969 Maxi-Taxi Pickup Truck known as "PEE-WEE". The Only Pickup manufactured by Bremen of Ind, Pee-Wee combines all the
features of the Maxi-Taxi and the Mini-Mark cars. Vinyl removeable roof, leather seats, outside laterns that light, fog lights, running
lights (including sunvisor), OOGAH HORN, electric horns, deluxe dash with tach, removable side curtains and more. On a scale from 1 to 10,
Pee-Wee's exteroir and interior is a 7 or 8. The Top, Fenders and Running boards are Black. The Hood and Body are Grey with a slight Purple tint.
Pee-Wee is a 1969 chassis with a 1972 1600cc engine and 1972 4speed quick shift transmission. Body is late 70's.
Has dual headers/chrome exhast..sounds really nice (not like a VW).
Pee Wee can sit for 2 or 3 weeks and the engine fires off the first lick. Runs and Drives GREAT. So light it's like driving a HI-Pop Go-cart.
Bremen made one of the finest kit cars made (maybe to good). The truck never made it to production before they went out of business.
The fiberglass is thick and does not flex like most. The trim is nice, We have taken Pee-Wee to car shows and it's always the center of
attention with a crowd of people always around it, especially the kids. We have had fun with Pee-Wee but I have 2 VW's and 3 Corvairs
plus 3 other cars so something has to go. I've decided to keep the Corvairs and sell the VWs. Wife can't drive a stick and I drag race one
of the Corvairs. .
