Rolls-Royce Corniche II
1989
Limited few in this stunning color combination
This beautiful Corniche II is finished in Rolls-Royce Royal blue with cream hides and blue piping with hand-painted double fine lines in cream.
It is absolutely stunning in all respects. The body is very straight and the paint is without any flaws presenting perfectly with a full lustre and consistency. All chrome and bright-work is in excellent order.
The leather is as-new and in unrestored presentation without the slightest wear. Attributable, in the most part, to the previous owner retaining tailored seat covers for many years. Similarly, over-rugs have kept the carpets as new. All burr walnut wood finishes on the doors, dash and console are perfect without any of the signature cracking in the lacquer normally evident on Rolls-Royces. The car is fitted with a McIntosh stereo/CD player which was the best for its time.
Mechanically, the car comes from a stable of well maintained and highly serviced Rolls-Royce cars. It has only just been fully workshop tested with service repairs carried out on the brake pumps and a complete hydraulic system service. A new factory Rolls-Royce air conditioning compressor, receiver dryer and gate valve were recently fitted ensuring ice cold air. The car needs nothing else and is ready to go. The mileage cannot be verified but the car certainly presents as a very low mileage example.
The electric roof works perfectly and the Everflex is excellent and clean with the exception of one small separation in the vinyl of about 1” on the left hand side where it meets the top of the rear fender. It could be repaired or left as-is depending on how fussy you are. It cannot be seen when the top is down and does not effect the roof function or weather sealing. (For the purist, new and original specification Everflex tops for the Corniche II are available at a cost of $600 and this can be arranged for the successful bidder if interested). The rear window light is clear and not faded.
Little more can be said about this totally original and entirely immaculate example. Fair to say, the many photographs tell the full story - specifically those of under the hood which are testimony to its supreme maintenance.

** The vehicle shows 38,500 miles. Although the vehicle's overall condition suggests a low mileage it should be noted that all Rolls-Royces from 1977 thru to 1990 fitted with electronic speedometers were notorious for their odometers failing them. Being a costly repair, many were not rectified or replaced immediately or were replaced with 2nd hand speedometers. For this reason, no guarantee can be offered or implied as to the authenticity of the reading on this car. Notwithstanding, the speedometer and odometer in this Corniche are fully functional .
