Rolls Royce Silver Spurs are iconic cars, not because they've coddled their occupants in luxury while dispatching lesser vehicles with authority for years, but because they are cars on an iconic scale. They were built at a time when Rolls Royce spared no expense on the construction of their motorcars. The Silver Spur is a very modern Rolls Royce, with 4 wheel disc brakes, monocoque chassis, independent rear suspension, and every comfort you can imagine. You can really tell when you drive this Spur they were ahead of their time, and this one well it's really a well sorted car. It brakes, handles, and responds as it should. It's really a joy to drive on the highway or around town. The Spur combines traditional elegant Rolls lines with modern technology making them among the most comfortable, reliable Rollers produced. This particular example is finished in stunning Cobalt Blue Metallic paint Upper and Lower on Creme leather and blue carpets. I really like a couple things about this Spur, I like that it's matching upper and lower, and it has a great looking Everflex top. Combine this with update European headlamps, and you've got one of the best looking Rollers anywhere. It's a great combination that lends the appearance of a very traditional color scheme, but it's made modern by its glittering metallic finish. I also like that this is a local Rolls that's been in the same family for about 15 years, we have a clear Title, of course. We've had this Roller about three months, and it's been a joy the entire time, it starts on the first click of the ignition and runs superbly. There are no warning lights illuminated. This Rolls is freshly serviced and ready to go. As for the miles, this Rolls has been driven, sure, but it's all there and ready to go, I wouldn't hesitate to drive this one cross country.
Exterior Condition:
The Cobalt Blue Metallic paint (code 95.10.459) is glossy with deep shine, and is very well presented. The last owner has obviously cared for the car, and kept it waxed and out of the sun, there's no fading and the paint retains tremendous luster. It's really a great color combination, I haven't seen one exactly like this, pictures really don't do the color justice. All chrome is brilliant, all rubber soft, there is no cracking in the paint or checking. The RR wheels and hubcaps are unique to the model and are extremely clean. They have Silver centers with RR logo and are painted to match on the surround. And of course there's the great looking 'Spirit of Ecstasy' on the hood. The Chrome really looks exceptional on this car. All rubber is there and not brittle. Panel fitment and gaps are very good on this car, as you'll see in the 130 pictures below. Please note, there's some slight checking on the cowl, and along the leading edge above the headlamps.
Interior Condition:
The interior of this Rolls shows very well. I like the contrast of the Creme leather interior, and blue carpets with blue piping. It is a great looking combination. All seating surfaces are clean and free from cracking, fading, rips or tears. There is some slight discoloration on the armrests, I think this will dye very easily if you'd like it perfect. The dash has no cracking, all wood shows well, the two piece arm rest opens to reveal a vestigial Motorola car phone. The wood on this car is fantastic, there's no delaminating, perhaps a crack here or there, but really it looks incredible . The headliner really looks great in this car, I don't think we've seen one this good, no rips or tears, sagging or any discoloration. Interior electronics are working properly from the door locks to the clock, the telescoping aerial is working properly. The updated Pioneer CD sounds quite good. Interior lights are working including the red ones in the doors, the trunk release works properly, as do both electrically operated seats.
Mechanicals:
We've found nothing out of sorts on this Rolls, but to make sure, it's been inspected and passed with flying colors. There are no warning lamps showing. It handles, brakes, and accelerates as it should -- with authority. There are no issues I'm aware of with braking, rear suspension, transmission, engine or cooling system. We had it on the highway on one of our recent hot days here in Atlanta it ran cool, and kept us cool the whole way. One note, the steering rack is seeping fluid, not badly, but it is and we wanted to make buyers aware of it. Of course, it comes with four proper matched Michelin tires. See the pictures from under the hood below, all stickers are there, the expensive to replace insulation, and that engine just gleams.

PAYMENT: A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction close. We accept Pay Pal for the deposit amount only. Balance is due within 7 days. Wire transfer or personal checks are fine, but checks must clear before the car ships. Bank checks are preferred. If financing, buyers should pre-qualify before bidding. Georgia residents are required to pay applicable local sales tax.
SHIPPING: Buyers pay all shipping expenses. Caudle Motor Cars can assist with shipping arrangements. Charges range from $75 to $1200, depending on your distance from Atlanta. For those flying into Atlanta, we'll be happy to meet you at the airport with your vehicle. Please remember to make arrangements to obtain insurance upon the close of the auction. Once a vehicle leaves our facility, in your possession it is your responsibility.
INSPECTIONS: This item is described to the best of the my ability, however we are not mechanics and these are classics. Some items have worn in the past 1-40+ years. We will help the buyer with arranging any desired inspections, but all costs for PPI (pre purchase inspections) are the buyer's responsibility. All PPIs must be performed before the auction ends.
