Vehicle Description
I purchased this car recently from a couple who had it since it was new in 1996. It was a one owner car until I purchased it this year. I intended to use it forever due to the gasoline crunch but I am used to larger cars with automatic transmission such as my Taurus and my Windstar Van. I have driven this car about 600 miles only. I just drove to Ruidoso to try out the car on a trip and it drove fine with the air conditioning on for over 300 miles round trip. Average speed was 65 to 70 MPH. Engine stays cool and mileage was great. I drove most of the way in 5th gear with cruise control engaged. Engine will stay cool whether in city or highway driving. No smoke and a quiet engine. Transmission shifts smoothly. I went ahead and registered the car in El Paso so it has brand new registration sticker and new plates. Also has a recent inspection sticker. The prior owners told me that they used only synthetic oil and I have some oil change forms that show the car was always filled with quality synthetic oil. The car has an option called Traction Control System with Anti-Lock Braking system for added safety. It also has air bags in front for driver and passenger. Has a Pioneer Radio with cd player. No evidence of rust anywhere which would be normal for a car that has been in El Paso for over ten years. Tires are in good condition. This car is very roadworthy and if a buyer would rather drive it than transport it it is ready to go. The spare tire and jack are in the trunk and I believe have never been used. All the glass is good and no evidence of any damage to the car body or the glass. The rear seats move forward to accomodate entry of large items. I brought some two by fours from Home Depot without any trouble and with the rear deck closed so there is plenty of room. This is truly a great economy car for someone who needs transportation and is willing to downsize to a smaller car that has modern safety features such as Air Bags, Traction Control , ABS and outstanding visibility. Along with this is the economy factor and the fact that the car was a previous one owner car and well taken care by the owners.
