You are looking at a BRAND NEW 2006 Factory Five Mk3 with all the goodies. When I put it away after taking the pictures it had 11 miles on it. It is simply the nicest one I have ever seen. The Sequence Number on this car is #188. It was built by Roger Stein in San Juan Capistrano, who is renowned in South Orange County for building the nicest Cobras on the Planet.
There is simply no way to describe the owner of this vehicle. He is unique and his car matches his incomparable personality. His unique vision of what a Cobra should be is not unlike the master himself, Carroll Shelby. If Carroll were going to do one today for himself I cannot imagine it would be much different than the way this one has been prepared. His dream was to build one of these Cobras in the likeness of the originals with all the nostalgia nuances matched with the latest and greatest developments in Engine, Suspension and Electronics. The owner knows engines and he set this one up to be unmatched. This is his masterpiece. The Gorgeous Red/Silver Color Combo is absolutely stunning. The Owner also likes Ferrari’s and the Red Color he selected is the Ferrari Rosa Scaderia Red or Racing Red. Painted by the legendary Jeff Miller from Temecula California; one would think this car was painted by Enzo himself. You simply can’t find a better quality paint job anywhere. It looks like it was dipped in a vat of Red Chocolate that shines. This is as good as it gets.
This Vehicle is California Titled and Registered. All the Work has been done to get through the “impossible” registration process in California.
If you are going to set up a Cobra, the Factory Five Mk3 is the only way to go. Take some time and go to http://www.factoryfive.com to check out all the features to this amazing Cobra kit.
The Factory Five Racing Mark 3 Roadster is the most successful component kit ever built. The design had humble beginnings in a small shop in Massachusetts in 1995. Since then Factory Five Roadster has literally taken over the Replica Industry. It has won more accolades and recognition from the press, and most importantly, garnered the most loyal customer group of any replica ever.
Engineering and design are at the heart of a quality car. There are huge differences between replicas with respect to design, engineering and the quality of the parts. The Factory Five Mark 3 (Mk3) Roadster is made from proven racing materials and is the integration of advanced computer design and state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
This car has the IRS Option (Independent Rear Suspension). Here is what Factory Five has to say about their IRS Suspension.
“In 1998 we put our engineers to work full time on the new big block/IRS program (the big block program was included in the IRS effort as part of a design upgrade to make the FFR kit capable of 100 point authenticity awards). Our goal was to take the FFR platform to a higher level of performance and offer customers more choices than a simple single donor kit. We introduced our optional IRS in 1999 at the NE Replica Challenge. Our first race car outfitted with this rear suspension won 1st Place in the Pro Class at the NE Replica Challenge, beating the competition by more than two seconds!”
You are not going to believe the wiring harness on this baby, it looks like it was put together for an F-16. Also, the wheels are “REAL” Knock-offs, not the fakes that look like Knock-offs.
This vehicle has taken nearly a year to complete and it shows. No expense was sparred. This is an uncompromised Factory Five Mark III with all the goodies.
Unfortunately the pictures do not do the car justice, so if you are in Southern California you should make arrangements to see this magnificent machine for yourself.
If you are looking for the finest Cobra around, look no further, you have found it.
