A very good 4 wheel drive Subaru wagon. At 100K miles I replaced the engine with a brand new Semi-complete engine(all except Carburetor and accessories). I still have the brand new 4 speed/4wd transmission (not installed) and the old engine that go with the car if you like. Around this time I also replaced the Clutch, front CV joint driveshaft, tires and brakes, belts and hoses. So the car now has 124,341 miles total but essentially except for the 28 year old body, is only roughly 24,000 miles from new. Maintenence, valve adjustments, and Oil changes have been done regularly(3000 miles). The body is good with only one or two spots of rust, nothing serious. Car has A/C but system will not hold freon, door flaps for the heater have stopped working too. Car has sat (outside unfortunately) for last year and hadn't been driven regularly for 5 years before that - so you can see why I'm selling it. The gas in the tank had gone sour and even after draining, the tank still needs to be cleaned out. With new fuel the car starts right up and runs fine, 4 wheel drive works fine too, but you should plan to tow it home. Car is sold strictly as is/where is with no warranties expressed or implied, There are a few extra maintenence parts; Another Spare wheel/tire, Brake shoes, Fuel filter, oil filter, VC Gaskets, belt and other gaskets that go with the car as well as a repair manual and of course the original owners manual. Original keychain "Subaru - a dream come true".
What a neat little Car that today would probably be refered to as a CUV. As a pre-'83 it doesn't need an emissions inspection here in NC and is eligible for AACA (Antique Autombile Club of America) shows and events. The back seat folds down to give a large cargo capacity or it can carry 5 adults in comfort. Being only 1600cc with a four speed it's no speed racer but easily keeps up with traffic and gives reasonable fuel economy. Bid to buy, you will be responsible for paying and picking up the car. It is possible that I can deliver within reason for $1.00 per mile(one way) after payment.
