Vehicle Description
I'm listing my Subaru Justy project up for auction. Vehicle is located in Huntsville, AL 35810
This 1991 justy began it's life as a FWD ECVT automatic car and at some point had issues w/ it's ECVT automatic transmission and was set into storage. Only to be parked next to it's cousin, a 1989 4WD manual transmission car w/ a blown engine. So I did what one naturally does when they encounter such a situation in life...
I completed the refresh of the 91's EFI engine and performed the 4WD conversion installing a new clutch and several gaskets/hoses. The engine then developed a rod knock. The oil pan was dropped, the crank inspected and new rod bearings installed. Also installed a mechanical oil pressure gage in center consul. The engine now runs w/ a nice sweet sound but the oil pump needs to be rebuilt as the pressure is only 5-10psi at idle and 20-25psi at cruise. This is a typical problem found on these Subaru EF12 engines. This was where I ran out of patience and time, I live in another state now and would like to sell this car, and the extra parts you see included. Wouldn't be too hard for the intrepid mechanic to complete into a sweet little ride, the lightest vehicle w/ 4WD ever to be sold in USA and w/ 40mpg an excellent economy car. Or scrap it, I really don't care. There is no reserve, so go ahead and place your bid.
The Good:
Running engine,
Good 5-speed Transmission,
4WD works,
Clean interior,
very minimal rust,
high MPG
The Bad:
actual mileage unknown,
oil pump,
tires,
brakes need rebuild,
some damage down passenger side,
previous owner signed the title on the wrong line and I haven't registered it mine
Included:
front and rear bumpers and covers,
extra efi intake manifold, injectors, throttle body,
set of stock justy hubcaps (need to be painted)
extra set of tail lights in very good condition,
2 gas doors,
two sets of mud flaps
2 sets of corner marker lights in good condition,
fender well splash guards,
2 grills,
and new windshield wipers,
basically everything needed to put it back together w/ some spares minus what's in the bad list.
