Subaru Justy GL Hatchback - Runs GREAT
Extremely well maintained
I get 42 miles per gallon hwy, 38-41 combined city/highway driving
This means $20 of gas gets you 200 + miles
(at $3.90 / gal day I listed this where I live) How long would it take for the $$$$$ you save in gas

I have receipts for all the following maintenance/repairs my mechanic has done to the car over the last 14 months that I have owned this car:
* New front TIRES June 08 ($90) (rear tires new 4 mos ago $86)
* New RADIATOR June 30, 2008 ($185 with labor)
* New wipers June 08 ($18)
* New TIMING BELT, fan belt, and cam seal May 07 at 129K miles ($160)
* New CV joints and tie rod ends 2006-2007 (by previous owner)
* New ALTERNATOR ($215)
* New fuel pump and fuel filter April 08 ($94)
* Interior New carpet June08 - Dash newly painted (original color-charcoal grey) June08
* Oil change/new filter every 3 mos ($16 x 4 = $64)
* Tune-ups (new plugs plug wires Fall 07 and Spring 08 (total $ 74)
* New air filter May 08 ($6)
* New bushing installed in steering Fall 07 ($65)
* New headlamps (brights work great too) ($24)
* Much MORE
I drive this car daily and jump in it and drive to TN, NC - anywhere, no fear of breakdown -
Reliable, strong dependable car
Located in White GA - midway between Canton Cartersville off Hwy 20
Negative things about car:
1) Glove box latch does not work
2) interior light on ceiling out plastic cap missing
3) when idling for several minutes runs a little warm (mechanic says probably new water pump solve that-not guaranteed) - Driving down the road stays very cool just fine, so this only happens if sitting in bumper to bumper traffic for a while.
4) there is electrical short causing wipers/lights to run together - feel free to call or email for more detail. (I keep fuse out for wipers, stick in when rains-until fixed)
I have gone to a LOT of trouble and expense to keep this car very well maintained and repalce and/or repair anything that needs it until now, July 1st 2008. I now have decided to not repair the above 4 items but rather sell the car, much as I hate to. Reason is I have 2 other vehicles, classics (68 Ford LTD and 76 Ford F-100 truck) I am beginning to restore - takes lots of MONEY !!! I cannot do all 3 cars, so have to let this one go. (Now is logical because I am working from home all but one day per week)
None of the above 4 items will affect driving car, but if new owner wants to repair, this car is well worth it as everything else is pretty much perfect as can be for 21 year old car - runs and drives awesome - smooth - great - very quiet. If you never have driven a Subaru, you probably will be very impressed with how this drives, as I was. I love Subarus and want another one when I can afford one. I bought this car on Ebay April 07, without driving it, and could not believe how awesome the little tyke drove when I picked it up !! (This may look like a Ford Fiesta, but does not drive or feel anything like one - SUBARU engineering is SUPERIOR and you can feel it)
